Jay Reatard Found Dead

Jay Lindsey, better known as Jay Reatard, was found dead in his home early this morning.
The death, which was reported by friends, has been confirmed by the Memphis Commercial Appeal and Goner Records, who posted the following statement on their web site early this afternoon: "It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our good friend Jay Reatard. Jay died in his sleep last night. We will pass along information about funeral arrangements when they are made public."
Lindsey's body was found in his bed at around 3:30 this morning.
A cause of death is not yet known but a death investigation has been opened by police.
He was 29.
