Wu Tang Clan member RZA has announced that he will be directing his feature debut, the Kung Fu Flick The Man With The Iron Fist. Eli Roth will be executive producing the picture which will mix influences of hip hop with classical samurai films. RZA also states Quentin Tarantino to be a major influence.
Could be interesting. Not a huge fan of kung fu movies though.
Look forward to seeing this
will have badass soundtrack and ninja rap battles
Bobby Digital do's movies. J'yeah.
will be awesome
Of course he directs a kung-fu movie.
Calling it: this will go down as one of the best-selling but worst action flicks of all time.
oh yeah i remember him talking about this in his interview with the av club
not sure what to think but i'm hoping it's good
the afro samurai soundtrack was one of the best ever. hopefully this is cool
if it were GZA I would be more excited. this still reeks of badass
gonna have to check it out
This is gonna be siiick
I'm pumped, I love Kung Fu flicks and when you add the Wu into the mix it's cum inducing
sounds promising! hope its sick.
If it's half way as cool as afro samurai I'll be happy.
Yeah really high hopes for this. RZA is a damn genius though so he might be able to make it happen.
should be fun to watch, definitely a sales bomb...eli roth will keep things classy, and hopefully rza can bring the ruckus...not that he has in a while.
Eli Roth is a fuckin' hack.
So it's gonna be like afro-samuari minus the anime?
eli roth will keep things classy
this is the man responsible for Hostel so don't hold your breath
i'll probably check it though
Sounds a lot like Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai to me. Such a great movie.
Digging: The Future Sound of London - Dead Cities
Did you all see the trailer? Actually looks fucking sick to me. Got a shitload of style - I hope the MA scenes are up to the standard of some of the influences RZA's surely using here, could make or break it for me.
