wha-wha-whaaat?!?! already? Never Better's not even a year old... he usually waits like 3 years between albums.. Plus there's been like 3 Doomtree records in the last year and a half too. Damn, busy man. He's been touring non-stop since Never Better came out.

nice
| |
serrrr nice
| |
This is very awesome. Less than 3.
| |
Frickin' sweet
| |
Hell to the yeah.
| |
inveigh, it's basically now or never for POS... he's at the height of his popularity. He's also getting old (mid thirties) and doesn't have much gas left in the tank. He really should be putting out 1 solo per 1.5 years from here on out... and joint ventures at the same frequency.
| |
He's already mid-thirties?! I thought he was like 28-29... I just met him a few years ago it seemed like. But yeah, I see what you mean. He moved pretty slow the first 6-7 years.
Peep my review for the new Doomtree EP yet?
| |
he's 28.
| |
yee 1981. Been meaning to check this guy out but really haven't heard anything aside from hype, will get on this soon
| |
haha good try Kingsoby1, almost got us.
| |
whoops, must have been thinking of slug (37).
but yeah 28 is getting up there... he's in the prime of his career and needs to take advantage of it instead of releasing shit every 3 years. i dont count doomtree releases since he has a minor role there.
| |
Awesome. Never Better was a really solid record, and I hope he continues to step it up.
| |
There is only one POS and that is Pain of Salvation.
| |
lol
| |
damn slug is old. but you're aright anyway he is at his prime and it's smart to keep going now that he's getting more attention. very excited.
| |
relatively excited.
| |
Knew this from the interview I did with Doomtree on Saturday.
| |
This should be great, Minnesota music for the win.
Random side note- got into P.O.S. after seeing him do guest vox for The Bled for a song when they were in town a year or two back. The man can SCREAM
| |
awesome
| |
I'm excited. I love Never Better, but I still need to check his old stuff.
| |
Do it. Audition is his best in my opinion. Every song is fantastic.
| |
Right on. I'll start there once I'm done trying to "get into" death metal.
| |
Maybe in the minority but Never Better was his weakest release. Good, but his first two were much better.... but I always welcome new POS. Excited to hear.
| |
Oh yeah. Never Better was great, even tho' I should probably buy it since I have only listened to it on (gasp) Spotify.
| |
I want Dessa's album NOW
| |
yeah, never better was easily his best... but i guess that's if your into noisier/ more experimental hip-hop. ipecac was just too unpolished.
| |
I liked the raw, underproduced sound of Ipecac personally; and I thought Audition was basically perfect (for what he was trying to do at least). But yeah, if you're more into El-P style stuff in the vein of kingsoby's description then Never Better would be his best.
| |
Astronautalis is terrible.
| |
Why hasn't this been released yet?!
| |
Chinese Democratitis
| |
got a feeling he won't top NB
| |
It's not Chinese Democratitis until you turn into a total cunt whilst you aren't releasing said album.
| |
He always takes forever to finally release stuff.
Audition > NB = Ipecac IMO, although this will most likely be his worst release yet because Astronautalis is really just awful.
| |
Can't top Never Better
ugh Never Better
