It's so....EPIC. I love it. Not as much technicality as the last album, but more melodious for sure.
| |
nowhere near as cool as anything off WAtN. I miss noah on bass
| |
I have to admit, and this is coming from a devout Arsis fan, I feel a little ambivalently about this song. It's got good licks and whatnot, but if the whole album sounds like this I'll be pretty disappointed. Mike Van Dyne did a good job though.
| |
that was ok, will probably get the album
| |
fuck yea, van dyne is back.
Diggin the melodies, hope the other songs are a bit faster/techy
| |
eh, it was decent.
| |
*waits for Kit to fap over this*
Not what I was expecting, but it is still a cool song..
| |
| |
I liked it. Hope the rest of it turns out good.
| |
Oh wow, its anything released by Arsis after A Diamond for Disease. So I won't listen to it.
| |
not great, not bad though
structure was bland
| |
Pretty good song. It's a bit of a sendback to their roots. If all the songs were around this quality i'd probably give it a 3.5 at least.
| |
I liked it, though it felt like it was missing something. New album will probably be on par with WATN in terms of quality, meaning it will be pretty good but just sort of greatness.
| |
i like it
| |
That was pretty good. Agree with Kronzo, if the entire album is like that it's looking at like a 3 or 3.5.
| |
Jim lost A LOT of weight, haha. I know some of this was themed after it or something and he had issues with it but damn..
| |
It was good.
| |
sounds more like their older stuff. I like it.
| |
nice.
| |
Song was pretty awesome, definitely digging this.
| |
song rules obviously
| |
obv
| |
And no bias at all in that statement either.
| |
Good, but definitely not as technical and death metal-y (for lack of a better term) as their other stuff. I'll still probably get this.
| |
Still pretty cool song, espically the last half of that song. Can't wait for this, need some good death metal to come out.
| |
More straight-forward than WatN, still awesome though.
| |
A good song for an Arsis fan. Could've been better though
| |
It was pretty sick, and did i hear a semi-breakdown? Can't wait for the album.
| |
And no bias at all in that statement either.
never said there wasn't any
| |
it's a good lead-off single, but i hope the album will be a litter better on the whole-- deeper cuts, more technicality, less mainstream-ness.
but i kinda miss ryan knight and darren cesca, though.
| |
Ryan Knight will definitely be missed, I'm totally content with just having one Arsis album with Cesca on the drums though. It was cool for the whole "omg let's go apeshit and shred" feel that WATN had, but I'm just glad to hear Mike Van Dyne again. Much more contained.
| |
oh my lord, this sounds so rad. its got a SERIOUS death vibe to it. i love the way that mike comes back and thankfully makes me forget about the steaming pile of crap that was WatN. Ryan Knight is better in BDM, he just ruined Arsis for me, this sounds awesome.
So different, yet so awesome!
| |
AWESOME....not.
| |
Its okay.
| |
I just gave this another listen.....man, I don't think I've ever come across a band who has stripped themselves down as much as this.
| |
Children Of Bodom is pretty close, Wizard.
| |
This is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr worse. At least CoB make me laugh. But I do agree, they have really stripped their sound down since their debut. While we are on the topic, list off any other bands that you think have stripped their sound down as much as these guys.
1. Slayer
2. Slipknot
3. Arch Enemy
4. Burzum hahahaha
5. Enslaved (For the better tbqh)
| |
Slayer's sound has never really changed.....they're still horrible though.
| |
World Painted Blood is so incredibly stripped down. Production, solos, overall song composition....
| |
I totally agree with Arch Enemy.
| |
Meh, it was alright.
| |
If only the song was as good as the album art!
| |
If only this band would simply vanish.....
| |
A Diamond For Disease was so amazing though.
| |
It was alright until they played.
| |
eh, i hate to see this as a mediocre song, i will still get the album but i hope it is better as a whole than this song
| |
