Breaking Benjamin Online Game

2009-09-25 by fromtheinside | 25 Comments
Breaking Benjamin fans have been given the opportunity at a sneak peak of the band's new album Dear Agony in an online game named Altered Benjamin. The task? While playing as front man Benjamin Burnley, gamers must defeat a constant barrage of headless demons, and help Ben return back to a "normal" state of mind.

Does he at least get to fly in the game, since he won't in real life?

Maybe they'll make him a good musician too!

Pearl Jam did something very similar to this a few months back.

Harsh people, harsh.

Had a read of your sound-off fti. Can't totally disagree with all that you say and yet a 2 seems too harsh a rating... Especially with what you rated their previous 2 LPs.

Haha Davey in all honesty Breaking Benjamin is probably one of the more talented mainstream bands, I'm just not a fan. And that was way too good of an opportunity to pass up.

haha davey you caught me! but no, in all honesty those 2 cd's especially WANA we're crucial in my evolution in music.

this one, and i'll definitely go into more detail with my review, is being slammed by me because of the fact that i saw phobia as a step in the right direction. where this isn't necessarily a step backwards as it is a step in the wrong direction. i hope that makes sense.

Sort of... & sort of not. But that's where reviews can go more into detail. In truth, it sounds like you may have more to say than me. I'm almost scrounging for words on mine. I shouldn't have too much trouble not making this review too long, that's for certain.

I thought I Will Not Bow was really disappointing for many reasons. But the other two I listened to while trying the game out were actually pretty good, for mainstream rock music. I've always liked Breaking Benjamin, and while the new album probably won't be anything we haven't already heard since WANA, I'll probably still enjoy the heck out of it for a few months like I did with Phobia.

And kudos for the game, I never really liked Altered Beast but I love when bands actually try and make things a little more fun then just slapping a new song onto MySpace.

Phobia was good, so I'm hoping Dear Agony will be a fun listen when I get around to it.
