Reunited metal outfit Spineshank have posted footage of their time on the road this summer, from headline dates to their slot on the Music As A Weapon tour.

The band are currently working on a new studio album, which will be their first since 2003's Self-Destructive Pattern.

This band is classic to me 'cuz it got me into metal. And silent civilian got me into guitar driven metal.

I have been excited ever since these guys got back together. I really want them to drop a new album already.

I've never listened to these guys. Interesting.

What does "Spineshank" mean?

Lisbon, just a suggestion, but add [A] and [/A] around the link so we can just go directly to the video.

I think a Silent Civilian cd is actually being released before Spineshank. Which kinda sucks cause I prefer Spineshank but SC is pretty sweet as well.

There you go Observer.

@Observer: I read somewhere in an interview that 'spineshank' means being stabbed in the back, they felt used by people in the industry and others around them when they were starting out back in 1998.

How are you supposed to be feeling used and abused by the people up high in the music industry when you're first starting out?

When I heard that Santos was returning to Spineshank I did get excited though.
So he's gonna be pulling double duty with Spine and Silent Civilian?

Now i'm worried that both bands might suffer as a result

just quoting what jonny santos said, deviant, but i'm assuming that there was a gap between when they formed and when the debut came out...

Huh? What?
I'm talking about Santos being in both Spineshank and Silent Civilian, and how not being around in the songwriting process for either of those bands could result in poor material being released.
I don't know how involved Santos is with the music side as oppossed to the lyrics, but coming in late in the process and writing lyrics on the fly ain't gonna be good.
That's one of the numerous problem's regarding Arkaea's album.
