New Mushroomhead Album
2006-07-14 by Ian | 11 Comments
Megaforce Records has announced September 19 as the release date for "Savior Sorrow", Mushroomhead's new album. Drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton produced the album.

Felton said this about the new record: "It's a new chapter in Mushroomhead's evolution. There are sounds on this album that sound so brutal and huge. We focused on delivering some vicious hardcore mixed with heavy melodic hooks. Lyrically, it definitely reflects where the world is at this moment in time."

A world tour will begin on September 12, 2006 and a first single should be released a month before that.

I am interested. Hopefully they take a page out of XX instead of XIII.

Agreed, Niobium. I hope they don't go too much hardcore, as they stated above. I liked the industrial metal edge to their music.

I never really got into this band, even when I was a big nu-metal fan.

I'm intrested. At least it's not another Roman numeral titled album.

The new song sucks, and I have a feeling that this album will follow suit. Too bad.

Mushroomhead is actually one of the few nu-metal bands I still like, so I might check this one out.
