Ben Gibbard Channels Kerouac 2009-08-14 by Athom EMERITUS | 9 Comments | Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard has teamed up with Son Volt's Jay Ferrar to record an album inspired by the Kerouac novel Big Sur, entitled One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur. Originally, the idea of the collaboration was to compose several songs for the soundtrack to the upcoming documentary of the same name, but it soon was expanded into a separate full-length release. Both the album and the feature film will be available October, 20th.
