Quite true. I never really paid attention to all the accusations, he was never proven guilty and i usually go by the saying 'innocent till proven guilty' all you people talking about that MJ was a 'proven pedofile' (everyone has their own theories of course) to be honest probably would believe anything the media says, regardless of whether it's true or not, the mans dead and you would be some sick person if you were happy about that. This fucking sucks. Anyone who honestly disputes the man's musical abilities is bluntly retarded and quite ignorant of his legacy, cultural and musical. The guy was probably the most popular musician in history, bigger than Elvis, bigger than the Beatles. Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad is arguably the best pop trilogy ever made. MJ had one of the greatest voices ever, was a genious musician/composer, revolutionized the music video and broke down the barriers for blacks in popular music. One of my best childhood memories was listening to the Thriller vinyl. RIP Mike.

It saddens me that Mike died with such a bad reputation. He created some of the best songs the world has ever known and he should be remember for his outstanding musical talents. However, the news media should let the man rest in peace instead of doing 3 weeks of 24 hour, non-stop documentary's and biographies on the man.

No one's acting like MJ's death affected them deeply or a personal level, but when stuff like, you know, death happens, logic and "intelligent thinking" (ie. loads of people die every day) goes out of the window, it's a natural reaction for peopel to be a bit sad. I was in first grade when Thriller came out and I can say first hand it was more than an album. It was a cultural phenomenon like I have yet to see since. The grunge explosion, boy bands, Hannah Montana, etc, all combined could not touch Michael back then. Very sad the trajectory his life took. As an artist though, he was beyond special.
