The Beatles: Rock Band Details

 Yesterday morning, people got a small taste of what to expect from the upcoming version of Rock Band, which will devoted entirely to The Beatles. A performance demo at the 15th annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) of 'Day Tripper' included three singers harmonizing so as to not "fail" the song.
Immediately following this, Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono Lennon joined developers onstage to voice their support for the game. The real surprise, however, was an appearance by Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney that followed shortly thereafter.
“What do you think of the game?” McCartney asked Starr. “I love it,” he replied. “The game is good. The graphics are very good. And we look great.”
McCartney adds, “We love the game, it’s fantastic. Who’d ever thought we’d end up as androids?”
The music supervisor for the game, Giles Martin, unveiled the first ten songs that will be included in the game.

The Beatles:Rock Band will feature full album downloads shortly after its release, with Abbey Road first on the agenda.

Paul and Ringo were so awkward it was uncomfortable to watch, but I'm actually fairly interested in this game despite not being a big Beatles fan. The instruments that come with it are sweet and the harmony vocals could be fun, maybe if the price is right and the shit doesn't stop working after a week, I'll get it.

Would of been more stoked for Rock Band 3 than this. This is almost as much of a letdown as Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. ALMOST. Beatles are good, but this none of these songs on expert seem incredibly difficult...

This will be quite boring. I love the Beatles, they were my favorite band when I picked up their "1" album back in 7th grade, but I can't imagine too many of their songs being fun to play on Rock Band. The intro to "I Feel Fine" would be the hardest riff to manage in the game.

A good friend of mine told me after "Through The Fire And The Flames'" debut on GH3, Dragonforce concerts started being dominated by children under 14. Kids might start going to school with Beatles lunch boxes and backpacks after this.

I love the Beatles from Help! and onward, but honestly...
this is just an absolutely awful idea. Totally just a way to squeeze more money out of a dead series by throwing the name of the most famous band ever on it.
And no, not everyone would be an expert on the Beatles. Everyone would just think that they're experts when they really know almost nothing about them.

I figure I'd rather play actual songs I like rather than technical songs that I find not my thing. Probably. A mixture of the both would be the greatest win though.
Still, I probably won't buy this, but it's pretty cool that it'll get more people listening to the Beatles, if only because parents will buy it for their children because they think it's a great idea. It's getting brilliant music out there, that's a good thing.
