Pretty good so far. What's with the lazy, unenthused vocals? Was whoever's doing them just baked as hell the whole time, or are they supposed to contrast with the really upbeat vocals by the other guy?

Album was ok, but not as good as I expected tbh. The third song was my fav, cant remember what it was called.

Up To No Good, and yeah that song is awesome. I like the album, between a 3 and 3.5, don't know yet.

Well, he's definitely gotten increasingly more exaggerated with every release. But it's not like it's a change in style.

Listening to this I get the feeling that the tour they are going to do now will be key in the band's future. I get the feeling that if they don't enjoy the tour and don't have the fun the had while touring their past few albums the band will break up... and it just might be the right time to do it.

Not as big as I used to be, but yes, still a fan. When I was younger though I was a huuuuuuge Rancid fan. I listened to their 2000 s/t so much the CD basically exploded in my discman. They used to be by far my favourite band. Once I hit about 16 or 17 I started to grow out of them a little, but I got back into them about two years ago or so.

this is a really good album. when i listened to it the first time, i was a little underwhelmed. but with ten more listens, it just gets better and better. great stuff.
they've written about each song on their myspace blog page thing, which is actually a pretty good insight into their music.

Interesting. Wasn't expecting that response, especially with no Rancid albums rated. :P
This album hit me right away, and I've listened to it about 20 times since Saturday. It's awesome.

im a big fan of "Civilian Ways" it doesn't sound like anything that i would expect from rancid, but its a great song

Funny you say that, Coke. It was a similar thing for myself as well. That S/T (I was what, 11 or so when I first heard it?) blew my mind. I fried it, quite literally, by listening to it so much.
I still can't get Matt Freeman's(?) vocal lines out of my head... "RECONCILIATION.."
