great song

I'm going through some awful fucking shit at the moment so I'm not going to listen to this because Radiohead aren't exactly uplifting, but I'm sure it's brilliant because it's Radiohead
| |
not really feeling this
| |
old news good song
| |
song was a B-side for a reason.. competent 90's Radiohead track, that's about it..
Also, Sweeney, I hope whatever's going on, you're doing alright, dude.. drop me a line if you wanna chat about it..
| |
out of lift, man o'war, and this, it's easily the weakest of the three. not experimental or complex enough in structure, instrumentation, or lyrical content to stand aside other material from the OKC sessions... sounds more like a Bends b-side, but still mediocre none the less
| |
doesn't need to be experimental or complex, it's a mellow track and it works really well, hardly mediocre
| |
I like it
| |
"Also, Sweeney, I hope whatever's going on, you're doing alright, dude.. drop me a line if you wanna chat about it.."
thankyou so much dude, i'm getting proffessional help, i'm gonna pull through
| |
I think it's pretty good. But personally, I think it takes too long to go in a more powerful direction. I like the falsetto on some lines, though.
| |
Really enjoy this song. If it was released as a single when they first recorded it I think it could've been a decent hit for them.
| |
glad it was left off
| |
Sounds like a bends b-side but it ain't bad
| |
They probably didn't put it on the album cuz its not good
| |
that's exactly what i said when i heard it @meat
good song but it would've been way out of place on okc
| |
nice to hear 90s Thom vocals again, that was a pretty powerful throwback for me. still not a great song though, too repetitive. Lift hype
| |
for some reason I assumed you wouldn't be a radiohead guy @satty
| |
i'm a huge huge radiohead fan. seeing them live was life-affirming.
| |
yeah, fair. never seen em but I hear it's the kind of experience that makes you appreciate some shit
| |
would see em in a heartbeat if they'd ever come here. can't find any shows that they've done in Calgary since the 90's
| |
well i was a huge fan even before seeing them but they were brilliant live.
they've only played one michigan show since like 1995. difficult band to catch for sure.

"nice to hear 90s Thom vocals again [...] still not a great song though, too repetitive." 123

One of those bands I'd likely have to go out of my way and travel and spend a fuckton of money to see, probably will end up doing that some day
| |
@Sweeney, fuck yea, you are.
| |
Song feels like a nice, pleasant sort of interlude/filler that could have gotten its point across effectively in like, a minute and a half but was instead stretched to a full song. It's definitely not bad, but certainly a b side for a reason.
As others have said, it sounds far more like The Bends than OK Computer, too.
Not bad, but I probably won't listen to it many more times.
| |
weak song to be honest. makes sense it didn't make it on the album.
| |
I'm OKNOTOK (I Promise)
| |
It's solid. Really nice feel to it but nothing crazy or special going on.
Radiohead has at least one of these per album (songs that are super simple/don't do much, but are still kinda cool) so not that surprising
| |
Like this one. Video from my country Poland. I'm proud of this
| |
radio head a good song on it
| |
same
| |
Not necessarily Meatsalad, my one live viewing of them was at Bonnaroo 2012, which was a great year for the sub-$300 price tag.
| |
hearing this for the first time was pretty amazing. took me right back to my first spin of ok computer seven years ago. song is good but damn do i miss listening to radiohead before i overplayed all their tracks
| |
there was an arts thing in my town a couple of weeks ago and one of the stands had vintage concert tickets, one of them was for Radiohead in 1995 or something like that, and it was £5. Now, it's like £250 per person.
