Kurt Travis & Strawberry Girls

2017-05-31 by Thompson D. Gerhart STAFF | 27 Comments
In a less than rare collaborative effort from parties formerly of Dance Gavin Dance, Kurt Travis has released a new track entitled "No Apologies" featuring instrumental post-hardcore trio Strawberry Girls. Produced by Strawberry Girls drummer Ben Rosett, the hook laden pop track features crisp, modern production and sheen, oodles of layers, and plenty of sweet, funky bass groove.

The track will also feature on Travis's next solo album, though no additional details of said album have been provided at this time.

You can stream "No Apologies" at Travis's bandcamp page here: http://kurttravis.bandcamp.com/track/no-apologies-feat-strawberry-girls

Track had a lot of potential but was too repetitive and afraid to come out of its groove.

ehh I use to think Happiness was their best. but.... DTBM all the way!!

I'm pretty sure Happiness was the first DGD album I listened. So it does hold a special place in my heart though.

This is a pretty rad song though. Gotta respect the man for doing what the hell he wants.

This is really good and I haven't bothered with the last few DGD albums at all. This sound fits him better I'd say.
