In Hearts Wake's "Warcry"

2017-04-03 by SteakByrnes | 24 Comments
Australian metalcore band In Hearts Wake have released a new single titled "Warcry". This is the first new track of theirs since their split EP with Northlane last year, and with the track comes this explanation of it from vocalist Jake Taylor:

"The current systems in place are violently pitting us against each other, propelling our species towards our own extinction. This track is a call to come together, to unite peacefully against the forces that are currently destroying life on Earth and the resources that support it.

The words of the verse are the vision of a Seer, who speaks of a dark and horrific future to come. We, the New Generation, will not sit back idly and watch the abuse of our world. If we do not take timely action, then we are passively contributing to the Seer's bleak prophecy. Our inaction is part of the problem; let us answer the Warcry and become part of the solution. What kind of a world do you wish for tomorrow–to ensure there is a tomorrow…"

There was no news of a new album coming out, so for now this is a standalone single. Listen to the new song here:

Mediocre, and doesn't hit as hard as their previous tracks.
Sounding like a hard 2 or soft 2.5

Track was alright. Haven't been impressed by any of their stuff after the debut, but damn what a debut it was.

Thankyou, Jake - one of the enlightened few who can detach himself from his petty POV and see humanities plight for what it really is. All those who dismissed this as utter platitude expressed in the most cliche fashion need to fucking WAKE UP

Yeah one thing I can keep supporting this band on is their values. Dude's have been pretty strong on their environment stuff too, what with the Earthwalker and Skydancer lyrics, single donations etc.

The vocalists sound bored or is that just the production.
