Pacific Myth Hitting Shores!

2016-10-17 by Impervious | 16 Comments
Progressive metal band Protest The Hero created a subscription through Bandcamp last year for fans to subscribe for a new song once a month for six months under the moniker "Pacific Myth." Originally released only for subscribers, the band has announced that Pacific Myth is now available for pre-order and will be released on November 18th. The pre-order will have all six tracks and will be available with bundles including vinyl and artwork that were previously released with each track during the subscription.

Solid album overall without really adding any new strings to their bow but if you like PTH it's great!

I own all their studio albums but I probably won't bother with this one

They're all really good tracks, but definitely don't form a cohesive album, much better as singles.

I couldn't really get into Pacific Myth really. It hasn't clicked yet which I find strange considering I really like PTH.

Wow they actually posted it. Always been afraid to make something like this and look stupid. But no one else had done it.

I'm excited for this. I tried to get all the singles before but all the ones I heard weren't good quality ones so I decided to wait until the official release. Also the artworks are baller af

All of the tracks are remastered for the official release, too. The Harbinger remaster that is streaming on Bandcamp right now sounds great.

Hmm remasters might actually be worthwhile. I remember the tracks sounded kinda puny

I feel like everyone who subscribed should get the remastered tracks for free.

@Forevermore

Subscribers do get the remasters for free. And the Kezia remaster and Volition instrumental. They just have to pay for hard copies, but have special offers for those, as well.

The Kezia remaster isn't that interesting other than the first track.

Remasters would be pretty sweet tho

Yeah the Kezia remaster doesn't sound a whole lot different other than having the full piano intro into "No Stars." It's a bit smoother, tonally, and overall cleaner, but isn't all that different.

Honestly for a debut, Kezia was in pretty decent quality already.
