I really enjoyed this, good to hear that they can still write songs that sound like TDWP without Chris Rubey
| |
do the vox sound like plagues? if not i don't give a heck
| |
Well Spec don't give a heck apparently
| |
Didn't fine Space too interesting, but I am still curious to hear this.
| |
New album is shaping up to be their best since Zombie
| |
This is probably going to be AOTY material for me. I'm enjoying this more than Zombie, or anything they've ever done.
| |
I still like Zombie and Dead Throne the best, but this is sounding like a good album so far
| |
Not too shabby better then anything off 8:18 thats for sure
| |
yeah this is dece
| |
used to love this band back in the day but haven't been able to get into their newer stuff at all, save for Zombies
this was pretty decent though
| |
eh dead throne needs moar love tbh imo
| |
Every since Zombie, this band has really turned around and progressed for the better.
| |
eh dead throne needs moar love tbh imo [2]
| |
Honestly I feel this album is going to completely shit over everything they've ever done, and be without a doubt the best in their discog.
| |
Definitely one of the best tracks TDWP has done thus far.
| |
@BlackMalachite why do you say that? I'm just curious
| |
Every part of the musicianship has taken a massive step up, especially the songwriting.
| |
I can definitely see that, the songs seem much more organized than ever before. I'm not liking it as much as Zombie though, but maybe the rest of the album will blow me away
| |
Zombie's great, but one thing that still dragged it down were the vocals, and the songwriting was a bit repetitive. That's not the case here imo.
| |
I'm a sucker for Hranica's screams, so I didn't have any issues with the vocals of Zombie. I will say that the vocals were always the weakest link in TDWP, with the exception of Dead Throne and 8:18
| |
Dude this song is so fucking good. Anyone who hates on this song is just absurd. Instrumentals and overall song writing has improved so much. Love the ending. This made me beyond excited for the new album.
| |
"Honestly I feel this album is going to completely shit over everything they've ever done, and be without a doubt the best in their discog."
bro thats wack a f, it wont be better then zombie, dead throne or plagues
| |
Zombie ain't even that great. It's solid but it's also like a 4 song EP lol. Up to this point Dead Throne is easily their best album. Nothing they have written before or since even comes close to Chicago.
| |
Zombie is their only effort that is good front to back though, all 5 songs are very good
| |
This reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Either way, really good track. Heavy, dark, and atmospheric. I personally love their first two albums, and Dead Throne, but if the rest of the songs are of this quality, this could jump up the list. My only gripe was the lack of clean vox. Jeremy has gotten so much better the past few years, and I feel like this song could have been a great chance for him to push his vocals and do something really special and effecting. Still, great nonetheless.
| |
This used to be my favorite band of all time
| |
These new singles they've put out have been the most focused I've seen TDWP thus far. It's been a long time since I've been excited for an album like this.
| |
Dude, Dead Throne and Zombie EP are definitely the best in their discog. The only disappointing thing about Zombies was it wasn't longer, although that could've made it worse too. I was sorta disappointed by Space except for Planet A. That track was a big tittied fuckfest without gravity.
On a sidenote, I had no idea they were releasing a new album this soon. Really hoping they hit that Dead Throne groove again.
| |
Dead Throne is definitely my favorite album of theirs, it was so good
| |
plagues will always be their best imo but this has me interested for sure
| |
Plagues doesn't get anywhere near the amount of love it deserves m/
| |
hey john what's your name again the best song ever
| |
goats on a boat, html rules d00d, reptar, and nickels all go ham too
| |
pretty much sound how i remember they did in '07: bad
| |
that is actually very far from the truth lmao
| |
They don't anything close to what they sounded like in 2007, what are you even saying?
| |
They're almost unrecognizable sonically and aesthetically from 2007. Don't get me wrong I dig earlier TDWP but they're not even remotely the same anymore.
| |
"bad"
was all i was meaning guys. come on now
| |
The "I'm not tired" part is hilarious. I just imagine a kid saying it exactly like that when his mom says it's time for bed. And then the instrumental part afterwards is him getting dragged into his bed kicking and screaming.
| |
^ lol
Dead Throne is definitely my favorite from them, but Asteroid from the Space EP is the best song they've ever written.
| |
Plagues is alright.
| |
They've definitely adopted some Underoath over the years. For the better.
God I miss Underoath making music.
| |
guilty pleasure band for me and that song is legit pretty good
Zombie/Space ep are prob their best. Plagues is awful and it's their worst album, how some people think is one of their best for real.
| |
Am I the only one here who thinks Plagues is a pretty shitty record?
| |
I think Plagues is average, but I do like HTML and Hey John
| |
This might be the best song they've ever written. Color me intrigued for their new record.
| |
No real cleans on this track, interesting since its been such a big part of everything they have done but im digging it . Still trying to get used to Mikes vox was not a fan of 8:18 at all , so heres hoping this is better.
| |
yeah this was so good. way better than the last single.
| |
Dead Throne/Zombie > Plagues...
...but not by a lot.
| |
The Devil Wears Prada are truly forging themselves into something special.
| |
ye
| |
This is their longest song in recent memory, very different compared to their 2 and a half minute chug fests. Hopefully the rest of the songs are of decent length.
| |
this actually rules
| |
They were getting better and better up until Space IMO. Will I enjoy this?
| |
God I miss Underoath making music. [2]
I wholeheartedly believe they're gonna drop a new album on us like a bombshell sometime next year. Some of the members drop hints about writing now and then. It's going to wreck us in ways we couldn't hope to prepare for.
| |
ye [2]
| |
Song is aight. Drags on at points. The video however is cool as shit. Shoutout to whoever directed that. Maybe this band will finally release an album that isn't worthy of the recycling bin treatment.
| |
Mike's side project God Alone is actually really tight. They sound nothing like TDWP at all. They're a bluesy post-punk band, which is much more in-line with the kind of music that Mike is always talking about, like Beastmilk.
| |
This song is so awesome.
| |
La canción que más al corazón me ha llegado de The Devil Wears Prada, y de todos
| |
Sí, suena como que en realidad decidieron poner un poco de emoción en este registro
| |
This band has never released anything bad
| |
Sike!
| |
Their first album was pretty terrible
| |
nope
| |
What I really dig about the track is the fact it could've ended at the 2nd chorus knowing TDWP. But they took a step forward with the killer ambient section and the awesome outro.
| |
And no clean singing on this track, nice touch.
| |
I'm actually kind of shocked at how much I like this. This is a huge step up from
anything else they've ever done. The songwriting, the raw emotion, the riffs, and that whole ambient section is just awesome. And damn, that video too.
| |
This is good, this is damn good.
| |
None of their albums have even come close to Zombie or Space but this might do it.
| |
