Holy shit, that bridge actually jams hard. As much as I hate to admit it, James' voice has aged a lot better than Dave Mustaine. I'm actually more hyped for this than I have been for the last few Megadeth albums, which is hard for me to admit.

Lars said there isn't gonna be a 'big Metallica ballad' on the album. Hopefully there's a half ballad/half heavy song akin to something like Until it Sleeps, though.

Both singles have grown on me the more I listen to them. Neither are mindblowing but both are a lot of fun to jam. If the whole album sounds this good I'll be happy.

their ballads aren't their best bc of the actual ballad parts, though. Fade to Black is great bc of its instrumentals in the second half, same with One and Sanitarium.

Lars looks like an escaped psychiatric patient, and the song sounds like a B side from their old catalog but exceeded my incredibly low expectations I'll admit.

Damn is Atlas, Rise underwhelming. The verses and chorus sound like a lazy combination of Creeping Death and Hardwired. However this and Hardwired are still great songs so there's still hope
