oh god

The production sounds really hallow, it kinda doesn't work for nu-metal

the fact that of mice & men gets played on Octane and not Liquid Metal says a lot tbh

Austin's clean voice has gotten better.
This is far better than Pain.
So far only 1/2 tracks on the record have been enjoyable.

Tbh their pseudo nu metal shit is better than the early works of austin with attack attack and better than the first album of this band which was generic and painful scenecore for pussies, still this is far from being outstanding

linkin park rapes 24/7 scenecore bands like of mice and men. Besides this is more similar to three days grace

True but this sounds like a lifeless version of some Meteora/Hybrid Theory b-side demo

The verses in particular remind me of linkin park but I can see the Three Days Grace comparison for the chorus

bland as shit, and I love this band a lot. Rise Records needs to die in a hole. Give Knuckle Puck to Hopeless and the rest of the core to Fearless. Please.

Band sounds really bored though.

I'm relatively sure that it's Austin. I could hear his clean voice going in this direction from tracks like Broken Generation and such.
If it's the other dude, then I'd be surprised because his tone changed completely.

I mean he's got a pretty nice voice either way, but nonetheless the track is very uninspiring

I enjoy his voice on this more than Aaron's honestly.
Austin's a damn talented vocalist; if they're going to stay consistent in this nu-metal direction, it might as well be Three Days Grace B-Sides like this but with better instrumentation.
If they do that combined with Austin's surprising clean vocal prowess, they might have something going.

I agree. Add in Austin's screams and some MUCH improved music and it could be decent.

Austin's screams have dissipated. I've seen recent live footage. He's lost his ability to even remotely do the tones he had on The Flood and the self titled.
I'd much rather them entirely drop the screams now, or have Aaron scream.

Austin is a talentless hack, he is a hype man these days. Adding his little screams in the background while Aarons kills it.
He is also a class A douchebag

Honestly if they wanna sound like Linkin Park and Three Days Grace that's fine, those bands have made some good music and it's not like Of Mice & Men have to be heavy to be good, but this song is just meh. This sound has potential but its not really there yet.

This screams (or rather, doesn't) Three Days Grace. Restoring Force was dreadfully dull, somehow I think this is going to be worse. Their first two albums are some of my favourites, Shayley was the best part about the band tbh

Linkin Park is far, far, far, far, far, far, far ,far, far better than this, the lyrical work of mike rapes this shit, chester destroys austin carlile and even brad, dave, rob and joe are far better than the other musicians of Of mice and men. Linkin park rapes 24/7 generic scenecore,metalcore/posthardcore bands who are now trying to sound like nu metal groups of the late 90's and early 00's.
