They're probably already done writing the next album and still are gonna release it 2017. I hate it when bands do that.

Actually I don't care about Bowie. Never listened to a song of his.

Enter Shikari finally ended up winning me over with how great The Mindsweep turned out to be for me. This one ain't as good as that stuff, but I still don't mind it.

Oh yeah, LoLifant, I don't blame you for not giving two shits about Bowie, but you can't go against the impact the guy's had on music in general.

fury I never denied that. I actually know nothing about him since I've never been interested in his music.

Enter Shikari are known as one of the best live acts and have won awards for it lol

FourthReich is just frustrated because his nickname can't become true until the actual 3rd Reich becomes reality (and goes down again)

What actual credible award have these guys won fir their live show?

Didnt like this much, just seemed a tad boring

Probably an AP magazine award, which is more of an insult than anything.

Doesn't matter just watch a vid of their live performance. Says it all.

Plus, what awards are "credible" enough in your eyes that a band like them could win? Probably won't be a grammy.

"What actual credible award have these guys won fir their live show?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enter_Shikari#Accolades

depends on what you mean by credible

but as a long time fan i can say that ive watched most of the live videos on their youtube page (which is a lot) and they always go hard. Plus, when they were first coming about in the scene back in 2006/7 in the UK they had a shit ton of hype and cred as a brilliant live band.

Theyve always said in interviews that they do craft their albums to suit playing live , which is clear when you consider the heavy electronic influence they have which has a lot in common with rave/dance music

On one level I quite enjoyed this.

On another level, I have to acknowledge this is a fucking boring track

The climax of the song was cool but otherwise it was pretty bland unfortunately. Which sucks cause usually their singles are pretty stellar overall.

Lol at awards meaning anything when it comes to music. All award shows for music have pretty much been a joke. Kerrang gave them the award which is no surprise since they give every metalcore uk group the best of whatever category they are in.

I saw these guys live in Sacramento, and the whole show sucked. I don't know if it was an anomaly or an off day, but it just wasn't all that great. The crowd was dead, the vocals were bad, and there was this part halfway through where none of the members played a single note for like 10 minutes and all they did was clap to the electronic beats behind them. The drumming was fun I'll give them that tho

always feels silly when the guitarist in the vid slams the strings while you don't hear a single guitar note in the song at that moment

but after relistening I gotta say song rules so I hope next album won't take too long

Ideal song to be released as an one-off thing, I liked the fact that it was rather vocal driven and the verses had great dynamic in them, sounded cool, only thing that is a littlbe ibt falwed is the chorus which isn't that grabbing or anything rather special and it may make the song feel boring, but in overall it's another great song released by Enter Shikari

I've listened to The Mindsweep a few times now and most of the vocals on it sound painfully amateur.
