They still can't get that mixing right. Song was decent but it's definitely good to see them continuing on.
|
| |
They should just stick to the production on the Rareform re release, easily the best mixing they've had
But yeah song rips
|
| |
it's ok
|
| |
I disagree, the mixing sounds way better than their previous efforts. The vocals don't sound like they are coming from a different room, there is way more low end, everything isn't so centered (not sure what the word is for it) sounding. I'm loving it and can't wait to hear more.

| |
Prob a stupid question but is Justin on this or is there a new guy?
|
| |
Justin was around for the whole album. They had it finished in June according to Of Mice and Men.
|
| |
It's basically just a 4:31 breakdown with a few variations and run of the mill production.
|
| |
despite that catchy ass lead at the beginning this song is very boring and overly simplistic
|
| |
Overly simplistic? Are you just saying that because there is chugging? Did you actually listen to the song? There are multiple time sig changes in pretty much every section of the song. I can understand if you think it's boring, but in no way is it simplistic.
|
| |
I just remembered why I don't post on this pseudo review website. Nobody critiques the music with class. Just boring, simplistic comments (see what I did there). Makes me wonder why they even bother to type anything in the first place.
|
| |
chill Kyyzen.
song is ok.
|
| |
Please go somewhere else then. You're obviously too elite for Sputnik.

lol it's djent stop being so overanalytical, like honestly, bring me the horizon is more diverse than this shit
|
| |
i mean,i just thought the breakdowns were full of simple patterns and not the heavily syncopated complex shit they've done before
|
| |
they rly fucking are, like I'm all for chugging to an extent but this was just over the top
also lol at thinking changes in time signature = complex
|
| |
smfh some of these comments
|
| |
Christ this site has gone downhill lmfao wheres potsy when u need him smh #wilin

"despite that catchy ass lead at the beginning this song is very boring and overly simplistic"
Agreed. And despite this definitely not being one of their better songs, Sumerian sort of have a habit of putting the more "simple" and chug-heavy songs out first. Album will probably be... well... more After the Burial, for better or worse.
|
| |
Side note: song is terrible jesus christ
|
| |
chug
|
| |
Not their best but remember they just lost a guitarist assholes
|
| |
this is awesome ure all just awful people xD^^^^^^^^^^

tab for anyone who needs it
Ab|0000-0000-0000---0000--0000--0000--000-0
play it on an 8 string for authenticity but you only need the top string
|
| |
Still bad mixing. It's so dense.
Also this is pretty meh tbh.
|
| |
relatively boring track, but i haven't liked anything this band has done since Rareform so no surprise there. In Dreams was decent at best
RIP Justin Lowe though, really tragic story
|
| |
In Dreams was badass
|
| |
It's bone-crushing heavy and the production sounds great. If you have never seen these guys live, you need to check them out. The heaviest band in the world with a killer set with no fillers. Looking forward to the next album.
|
| |
Bring back Justin Lowe
|
| |
This was pretty fucking whack.
|
| |
song isn't superb but that improved production has me beaming, its about fuckin time they fixed it
|
| |
The guitars are not quite there. Too bad.
|
| |
Intro riff sounds like a super dumbed-down version of Cursing Akhenaten intro riff to me. Song was pretty boring

|

I like it. That's all that really matters

Really weak

song rips
RIP Lowe
|
| |
How can a whole song be a breakdown when the song has a breakdown (which is slower and different from the songs main composition)?
|
| |
Lost in the Stati.
Stati.
|

haha snide
