No thanks.

So far this album is making even the 2nd Law look good by comparison
| |
I think it's not bad . I think that in this song Muse going back to the roots ,while using almost only guitars , with minimalist electronic sound. Still dig Dead Inside the most though
| |
Song is alright, but could have done without the vocal layering in the chorus.
| |
It's pretty decent, but not very memorable.
| |
ugh, the downward spiral continues.
| |
Ugh
| |
you all need to take a deep breath and calm down [2]
| |
you all need to take a deep breath and calm down [3] Hating just for the sake of it, goddamn.
| |
could have done without the vocal layering in the chorus. [2]
still a really cheesy song. matt's vocals are becoming the worst part of the band
| |
Maybe the lyrics, but I believe that Matt's vocal melodies add a lot to most of their songs.
| |
hes great at writing melodies but i hate these arena shout choruses. its been done on uprising and madness already, it just sounds lazy now
| |
Matt's vox have always been the worst part of the band...
| |
I'm giving this album the benefit of the doubt. I believe that they are doing what Linkin Park did with their latest album; they are releasing the most radio friendly material first. It seemed like the album was going to be a huge letdown, and it turned out to be pretty good at the end. Hopefully, the same thing will happen with this album.
| |
Ugh [n+1]
| |
Why are people saying ugh? This is way better than the other crap they been putting out.
It actually has a guitar in it!
| |
Reapers > Psycho >> Dead Inside >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mercy
This is easily the worst Muse song I've ever heard
| |
survival still holds that title.
| |
This group is horrendously bad
| |
ins is perfectly right
Survival is actually one of the worst songs I've ever heard
| |
This sounds straight out of Black Holes and Revelations to be honest. I don't know what everyone is getting so worked up about.
| |
I heard this before...
| |
This group is horrendously bad
This group is horrendously bad ***now
| |
Much better than anything off of he 2nd Law.
| |
sounds like muse covering viva la vida
| |
awful.
| |
Catchy but awful. The worst kind of song.
| |
I like it. Hoping I like the album more than I liked the 2nd Law.
| |
I like that one muse song that's about anti government
| |
A bit slow/soft for for me, might be better in context though who knows.
| |
its basically the starlight of the album
| |
show him some mercy you guys
| |
1 out of 3 official songs released so far that don't suck. Not looking good for the new album, but you never know.
| |
Pretty forgettable, but by no means terrible. The new Muse album is kinda shaping out to be that way honestly.
| |
Not bad, but definitely not great. The only bit I liked was the second time he said mercy before each chorus.
Is it just me or does the piano sound over-compressed.
| |
Survival is actually one of the worst songs I've ever heard [62]
| |
[63]
| |
Sounds like the killers covering starlight
| |
Survival at least had a shred of originality, Jacky's hit the nail on the head here ^
| |
Not really.
| |
I like Psycho and Dead Inside but unfortunately this just sounds listless and by the numbers.
| |
You liked Psycho, Tuna? Surprised. I agreed, Dead Inside was really good.
| |
Yeah I feel like I'm one of the only ones haha. I know it's not technically a good song but I still like it either way. Dead Inside is the best of the three so far without a doubt.
| |
100% agreed there man. Reaper or whatever it's called, though not a studio recording yet, sounds really promising.
| |
Lyrics were pretty bad but the song was alright.
| |
Just gonna jam Origin and remember them for the stellar band they once were
| |
Dead Inside was actually a pretty good song, retrospectively. In fact, even Psycho was a tolerable first single. This midly bland song is really the first one that is exactly as I would have expected quality-wise.
| |
Just jam Origins through to Black Holes.
| |
Could Matt please put down his copy of 1984 and remove his anonymous mask. He has been crapping on about this shit in his lyrics for too long now.
| |
His vocals are starting get annoying as fuck.
| |
Matt sounds wankier than ever...
| |
Sounds like terrible version of "Starlight" (now with 200% more cock-rock guitars) which wasn't really good to begin with.
| |
Still good, still better than anything from their last 2 albums (and tbf there is some good stuff I enjoy there. Animals, Exogenesis, Liquid State) and listening to all the songs together, musically I reckon it'll be better than those 2 and probably a bit better than Black Holes & Revelations (which tbf I really like). I just wish they had their Drones playlist in the right order! :P
| |
lol

| |
These guys died after Black Holes
| |
Pretty uninspired stuff here. 'Mercy from the powers that be' to the tune of some mid tempo plodding guitars? Really? Really really?
| |
Wooooow these guys have fallen off.
| |
This isn't absolutely terrible. Which is also the most positive thing I've said about Muse in years.

| |
And that was disappointing as hell too.
| |
2nd Law was unforgivable, even if the new stuff would be good (which it isn't).
| |
2nd Law was slightly better than Resistance imo.
| |
I've got the song on iTunes and the Youtube compression is fucked up (as usual).
