Arcturus announce new record.

The avant-garde metal outfit from Norway known as Arcturus is back after an 8 year break-up to announce the release of their first album in a decade.

The album, entitled Arcturian, which features 10 new tracks and artwork by Costin Chioreanu, is due to release on May 5th of 2015 through Prophechy Records, and on May 8th, 2015 in North America.

Ahh I understand. I'm one of the few whose favorite is actually SS but I love all their albums.

I have been waiting for this album since 2011, this is seriously the most I've anticipated any album ever lol. Or so I think it is.

Vortex is great and has a really unique voice but typically bands' records with Garm are better (haven't listened to all of Borknagar though)

I beg to differ, La Masquerade Infernale was/is awesome and Aspera Hiems Symfonia is one of the first great ambient/black metal albums.
