Famed bassist and vocalist Jack Bruce from the revolutionary British supergroup Cream, has passed away at the age of 71 from liver disease complications. According to the Guardian, Bruce was diagnosed with liver cancer in in 2003, and underwent a liver transplant that took nearly a year to recover from. Jack Bruce's family released a touching statement this morning in honor of Bruce's life:

"It is with great sadness that we, Jack’s family, announce the passing of our beloved Jack: husband, father, granddad, and all round legend. The world of music will be a poorer place without him but he lives on in his music and forever in our hearts".

Hard to believe Ginger Baker outlasted Jack Bruce.
