Hmm that's kinda of like an opposite version of what AA did. They did the original version of "The Death Of Me" and then released a radio edit without screams.

Not metalcore. I still hate that they get that tag. This is a pretty basic rock band with slight metal elements. They're closer to pop rock than metal or metalcore.

That being said, this is pretty good.

I like this direction, more Jake Pitts and screams. Pretty damn catchy.

His vocals in the verse are pretty uninteresting but the chorus feels catchier on the second listen. Music is ok. The last vocal bit at the end kind of hurt it where he goes high and then low very awkwardly.

actually listened to track:

he doesn't emote at all in his singing, and there's no change of intensity *at all* during the chorus.
It's a power chorus without power. What is this? I *think* there's supposed to be a rhythm riff driving
that chorus, but it appears to be so buried in the mix you can't even hear it--you just hear that pseudo-
melodeath melody underneath the vocals. It's poorly produced and the vocals are still as bland as ever.
His voice hurts my throat to listen to--not because he's a bad singer per se, but because he sounds like
he's trying to keep that low pitch, gentlemanly (completely Nickelback-esque) sound to his voice, while
also trying to emote and hit different notes, while also forcing himself to not actually hit the notes so
as to keep the lower pitch to his voice. His voice alone is agonizing because he could maybe maybe be a
decent singer but refuses to actually use his full ability.

And then add in that this is more generic power rock with KISS pyrotecnics and pseudo-goth punk kid
theatrics, and it's a pretty bad tune. #wellthoughtoutcriticisms
