God I miss when they were like this. Before they turned into a generic hard rock band and revealed themselves to be bigoted hillbilly assholes.

Just read any interview with M. Shadows around the time when City of Evil comes out. Dude hates gays. Loves George Bush. Typical confederate flag waving douchebaggery. Also, I should have made myself more clear. I'm not sure about the rest of the band. Just Shadows in this case.

I don't know how his personal beliefs and actions affect the sound of his band's music, but okay.

Mercy - I have a hard time supporting any musician/celebrity or athlete if they display ignorant or terrible attitudes or behaviors. Like Tim Lambesis can go fuck himself for trying to kill his wife. I hate Michael Vick cuz of his treatment of dogs. The list goes on.

^If you guys are referring to that metal hammer article back in 05, they've come out and said multiple times that the article is not one you should read too deeply into. A lot of stuff was taken out of context and certain topics like drugs and political issues were pushed very hard on them in the interview.

A7XERIC! With a username like that you are not going to have too much credibility defending Avenged Sevenfold. They got a shit ton of bad press after that so OF COURSE they are going to say it was all taken out of context.

on one hand it's kind of blatant that you ran out of money and good ideas when you make a music video for a song from 10 years ago when you were good

on the other hand the teenager inside me is jamming out right now

Of course you can agree that the person has questionable character, but how does that affect the sound of their music? or their performance on the field? I mean.. I thought Michael Vick was one of the best athletes in his heydey and my opinion doesn't change just because he was fighting dogs. Same goes for Tim, dude was a crazy good vocalist of a solid band and my opinion doesn't change because of his actions with his now ex-wife.

I don't care. If it's revealed they're a terrible person then I will actively root against them. That's what I hate about how we treat
out celebrities. We hero worship these people no matter what they do. It's disgusting.

Also, Tim Lambesis was a TERRIBLE vocalist. He just roared like a retarded dinosaur. His best work is in Austrian Death
Machine.

Actually I will, because I could care-less what the dude did. He's a scumbag no doubt, but that won't change his music or my opinion of his music. Same goes for Tim, or any other criminal. Doesn't absolve them of any crime and I'm not holding them on a higher pedestal than anyone else.

Yeah haven't been big on lost prophets since high school but every time I scroll passed them on my iPod "baby raper" instantly enters my mind and I'm mildly (only mildly cause time has taken away the initial shock factor of omg wtf) disgusted for the next few seconds. I should prob delete them
