Devin Townsend has announced the official release date for the much awaited sequel to Ziltoid the Omniscient.

, a double album split between Devin Townsend's solo Ziltoid story and the Devin Townsend Project, will see an official release on October 27 in Europe with the North American release coming the day after, and the return will be celebrated with a special performance by the Devin Townsend Project at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 13, 2015.

Looking forward to Z² in October. Also, additional extraterrestrial music is fast approaching in the form of Aphex Twin's SYRO on the 22nd of this month. Hopefully both can come close to living up to the borderline-unreasonable expectations placed on them.
