You didn't even put on the tracklist
| |
"Hesitant Alen"
hehehehehe
| |
You skipped the tracklist and only included the song that was posted here back in June

The "Hesitant Alien" teaser sounds like a mess.
| |
there. I added the teaser instead.
| |
ayy lmao

"multi-talented"
| |
I don't think many people will care about this.
| |
Yes...multi-talented. He plays multiple instruments, he's a singer songwriter and he's written award winning comic books.
| |
"multi-talented"
| |
worst member of the band doing solo stuff. yay.
| |
who would you rather do solo stuff?
| |
also far from the worst member of the band.
| |
What's the point? He doesn't have nearly enough qualities that enable him to produce a solid [insert genre here] album and in all honesty, who cares? Other than a plethora of crying MCR fans obviously.
I say that and I have Three Cheers at 4.5
| |
"he describes being inspired by themes of "struggle,
beginnings, finding a newness in the mundane and the abstract.""
The only struggle he has is that his teenage fans grow up.
| |
He's a super talented guy, and most of MCR's music spawned from him. It makes perfect sense he would release a solo album considering he's been fronting one of the biggest rock bands of the past decade. Also, he's a great singer, so even if he's not reinventing the wheel, chances are he'll still come out with something catchy and enjoyable.
| |
@spirit I don't necessarily think he'll do anything that MCR haven't done though. Sure, he'll release some catchy songs, but it's not exactly going to be anything special when he has the MCR discog to marvel at
| |
But what else do you want from him? I don't see what's wrong with just releasing some catchy songs. Why does everyone need to have everything be a masterpiece, or something that treads new territory? Also, MCR comparisons will be inevitable, but shouldn't we try to enjoy the release on it's own?
| |
Good point, but I would just want something a little different. To be honest, if it's as consistent as MCR's earlier works, then i'll like it, but i'm kind of expecting something generic anyway and that's without any MCR comparisons
| |
I feel like Gerard is a bit eccentric, so we may be surprised. Danger Days wasn't a great album, but I think it showed that he's more than a one-trick pony. I doubt it will be as good as earlier MCR, but I would be okay with just some solid, catchy songs. If they happen to throw in the unexpected element here and there, then awesome.
| |
I'm glad they changed things up a bit after every album, but Danger Days just didn't work for them IMO. I have no doubt that his stuff will be catchy and fun to listen to, but the comparisons are all too easy to make and I don't think we'll be getting many stylistic or sonic surprises
| |
Well actually, if he cites Damon Albarn as an influence for this release, then it could very well be something different to what we know he can do
| |
Probably not, unfortunately. My hopes aren't high, but they're there. Guess we'll have to wait and see ;]
| |
I'll probably forget this even exists unless I see a review or news article on Sput. That's how low my expectations are
| |
Yeah, I wont actively search for this, or count the days until it's released. I probably won't even listen to it for awhile after it comes out.
| |
Likewise. Probably see his name or MCR somewhere and be like oh yeah, need to listen to that. If there's a single, I'll probably listen to that and judge it profusely
| |
multi-talented
| |
teaser sounded pretty good, might check this out
| |
I thought Danger Days sounded great. It caught the raw energy behind a hyper kintetic concept.
