kinda figured that this was going to be a pleb article

Hehe.
Song is gonna turn some heads for sure.
| |
does it rule
| |
I think its swee yeah, doesn't go as hard as 70's Priest tho.
| |
that was not at all what I expected from Grimes, but I can dig it.
| |
kinda figured that this was going to be a pleb article[2]

| |
At least its not TableGuy dude.
| |
ehhhhh
| |
I was like that at first dude, grew on me tho.
| |
yeah I can see that
impression I'm getting is that we shouldn't expect the whole album to be like this
| |
Ye, she did mention in the notes that it was a track she collab'd with someone else on, just to pass the time before she finishes up her LP.
| |
Reported.
| |
Release the album Claire, cmon now.
| |
originally written for Rihanna
| |
Ye and got rejected, was scared originally but this is a summer banger.
| |
the song is awful
| |
://///
| |
not too familiar with grimes but this sounds very different from what I've heard. don't like trap, don't like this
| |
I dig Clarie's voice on this but man that chorus is so boringly generic to my ears. Regardless I'm stoked for some new Grimes and I'm not expecting the whole LP to be like this.
| |
awwwwwful.
beyond awful.
| |
much more trap influenced, i can dig it but its still not grimes which makes me a sad panda bear ]:
| |
I doubt the LP will be in this vein, so don't panic haha.
| |
i mean i dont dislike it at all, i dig this kind of music a lot but i've come to expect diferent kind of music from her.
| |
this is generic as
| |
This does sound more like this whole "EDM"/pop thing that's relatively popular right now.
| |
I love it!
| |
@Jac Its her voice man, too lovely :/
| |
This is super unusual for her, though. It feels almost "too harmonic". (kinda like if Tom Waits tried to sing a sappy ballad)
| |
The production values are definitely different, probably due to that Blood Diamond dude's production choices.
| |
Production and singing both. This strikes me more as background music you don't pay too much attention to but doesn't make your ears bleed.
| |
sounds like she's just having fun with this so i don't mind
| |
first 50 seconds ruled then it turned to poop
| |
Not as unique as her stuff usually is, but it's an awesome fun song to blast while you're driving around with your windows down.
| |
I like this a lot.
| |
It's certainly not bad. Hopefully this isn't an indication of what her new LP will be like though.
| |
what the fuck is this shit.
| |
so this was meant to be rihanna's "dark horse" basically
| |
^ Wasn't that a track by Katy Perry?
| |
yeah so this would've been rihanna's equivalent
| |
I do not see that comparison.
| |
trap
| |
Tom Waits did sing a sappy ballad. He called it Martha ^
| |
He probably didn't sing like a regular pop song, though. Also, that was more of a rhetorical point than a factual statement.
| |
Tom Waits ain't a regular kinda fella
| |
Exactly my point. His style of singing could be described as "technically bad" or "unharmonic" (or however you wanna dub it) most of the time, which I think also applies to Grimes.
| |
grimes sings like an angel
| |
Wut. Her vocal style on "Visions" definitely defies more "traditional harmonics". Not to mention that it's more "muddy" - she could be singing in Norwegian and you probably wouldn't make out differences that easily.
| |
Well, she sold out quicker than expected : /
| |
great song!
| |
So good!
| |
bad. goddamn it grimes going poopy... I mean poppy
| |
Finally heard this. It's really fucking good, why did she drop her album smh
| |
song is a solid 4
| |
Just saw the video and gotta say I am sad. Don't want to be a negative nancy, but when go from tracks like "Vanessa", "Dream Fortress" and "Oblivion" with no incremental changes, it the musical equivalent of giving your listeners whiplash.
