Internet has become an abyss of album streams, which is a good thing.
|
| |
yay, my sputnik contribution went thru. This album sounds even better now compared to the shoddy leak.
|
| |
think i need more staying power, got 15 mins in and that 2 hr running time started looking like the north face of the eiger
|
| |
guys what if this album was recorded in 96kbps??????
|
| |
boring and....
boring and did I mention...
boooooring....
that this CD is the most fucking boring thing I ever forced myself to listen thru.
It leaked weeks ago and did I mention...
it is the most boring thing ever recorded in the history of music?
No songwriting here...
not enough noise to call this noisy...
no talent...
Geez...Swans always were mediocre...
but this is so....boooooooring.
|
| |
just a little boy is cool and all but it slows the album down a shit load as the 2nd track
|
| |
Idk I like it. I like all of it.
|
| |
especially that part where michael goes "wwaaaa wooohhhh waaaa"
|
| |
This is probably the best album I've ever listened to in my entire life ever
|
| |
i fucking love this album and i can't wait to get my greasy little hands on a better quality rip
|
| |
how fucking long is this?
|
| |
it's like twice as long as lateralus
|
| |
need 2 check
|
| |
"it's like twice as long as lateralus"
maaaaaaaaaan fuck that
|
| |
Already 100+ ratings for this.
And that album average, holy balls.
|
| |
It leaked like a month ago.
|
| |
Is it true that St. Vincent does guest vocals on this album?
|
| |
Come on, the 4.4 is a classic case of the Chevelle.
|
| |
Remember when Chevelle was 4.3?
This will plummet hard in the next few weeks.
|
| |
It won't last but still.
|
| |
There's still Trophy Scars.
|
| |
Trophy Scars needs to get their new album on Spotify
|
| |
"To Be Kind continues on in much the same fashion for 122 ominous minutes..."
Well, fuck. I am not listening to 2 hours of Swans again. The Seer was enough of a chore to get through
|
| |
it's not as much of a chore though, tbh. The title track of the seer was just painfully boring, took everything to halt. Nothing like that here.
Bring The Sun is the musical equivalent of summoning a world-destroying demon in your living room
|
| |
Gonna wait for a good rip that I can take around on my iPod but yeah, can't wait for the reviews.
|
| |
>swans is boring
>only has their last two albums rated
y'all are some huge fucking plebs
|
| |
and that fucker has the new agalloch and the new cynic at 5.0 and he's criticizing swans for being boring

Brevity has never exactly been their strong point

The reason for this is that Swans albums are fucking behemoths, length-wise and content-wise. People can fall in love with The Seer and stay in love with that album for ages because they don't have two hours every day to listen to it the way that they can cut out 20 minutes of a day to listen a Touche Amore album in full, as much as they might want to. Additionally, each Swans album is fairly dense stuff that needs a few listens to process. To go onto another Swans album before fulfilling your appetite for (i.e. wearing out) the current one is something that people may not be inclined to do. Even if you have fully explored whichever Swans album you're currently on, the prospect of tackling another gigantic record immediately afterward over any other album by any other artist that you may want to explore probably isn't a natural choice.
Having said that, y'all motherfuckers need to hear the rest of this shit.
|
| |
Didn't sound dense to me, more like rarified stretching ideas thin
|
| |
Love this album to bits but fuck, people already going off the rails and rating this like Agalloch.
|
| |
Bring the sun.
|
| |
I guess now I need to block out some time to listen to this. I still jam most of their stuff in my car on a regular basis... so I should love this as well.
|
| |
this album is far too long but the 34 min track is the best
|
| |
Ive been waiting for a good quality stream. Yay!
Ive been eating through the Swans discography lately and this is definitely one of my favorite releases.
|
| |
just got done with this and it slays, way better than The Seer but thats just my opinion
|
| |
first song is really good
|
| |
nobody could pay me enough to listen again to this boring garbage...

Chill, I've heard/own every Swans album. Do I get a cookie? But yeah everyone should at least hear Soundtracks, Children of God, White Light, Great Annihilator, and Filth before hearing the new one.
|
| |
i mean good for you then you're not a fucking pleb
|
| |
ya'll take this shit way too srsly, is just music ppl
|
| |
i understand i'm getting incredibly bootybothered over something completely inconsequential but there's scores of people who are like "wow swans time for another borefest" and when I ask them "what albums did you not like by them?" they just answer "uuh uh uhuh uuuwell the seer kinda sucked"
just makes me want to shit in a box and slam dunk that box over a small child's head
|
| |
any band that makes albums this long can fuck off right out of existence
|
| |
I honestly listen to very few albums over 50 minutes anymore. I just don't have the time to sit through them. The last album I forced myself to listen to was Songs for the Death, and it was over an hour half wasted.
If Swans could make an album of decent length, I might listen to it.
|
| |
i mean i fuck hard with keiji haino so i'm used to long-ass albums. i can get not wanting to listen to two hours of music
