I had a job where I was exposed to the Sumatran tiger problem quite a bit and it saddened me. I'm sure this will be a source of endless ridicule by internet-dwellers but this is cool. Good for them. More people should know this issue, and issues like it.

it's preventable though, that's the point. they're going extinct because of the clear-cutting and destruction of the Indonesian rainforest. it's cause by humans and should be (and could easily be) prevented. billions have species have gone extinct by natural means. this is not a case of that and should be talked about and prevented. do you know anything about what's happening in Indonesia or are you basing your lovely opinions on headlines you've skimmed past?

I don't think "do it for the tigers!!!" is a good way of raising awareness, because extinction is the natural state of things. I think they should focus on the root issues like the destruction of the indonesian rainforest. Focusing on the tigers neglects any other problems that might accompany the issue in indonesia.
