Cracked's list of Wussy Rock Artist

2007-04-02 by The Sludge | 22 Comments

The obvious MAD Magazine rip-off, Cracked continues to rip into modern music with their latest series detailing the "9 Biggest Wusses in Rock Today."

Their take on Panic! At the Disco is merciless:

"Shame on you America for not only tolerating such wussiness but for allowing it to find success. Imagine seeing yourself in the mirror dressed like that, with that ridiculous hair, and saying “Hey, I look great, just gotta straighten my miniature tie and I’ll be good to go!” Just looking at their serious smug faces makes you want to shove them inside a locker. Even Morrisey would smack these guys around if he had the chance."

The list contains the likes of Conor Oberst, Moby, and Sufjan Stevens.

You can check out the entire list at the link below.

This list is rediculous. It's almost worthy of being on our lists section.

ha ha ha amazing, I agree with them all except for the fact that they highlight Belle & Sebastian's musical ability, not without reason, but compared to billy corgan who will be badass forever for writting amazing music most people won't ever comprehend or appreciate...
Nobody's dedicated to writting good music like Billy Corgan, even if it's not the most amazing thing I've ever heard, he writes what he wants and takes the time and effort to build upon it and expand it.
he's one person who won't ever sell out, and for that reason alone shouldn't be on their list.

he'd deffinitely kick iha's ass as well, and Bob Dylan could kick anybodies ass while playing hermonica.

I just read the whole list on that site. I'm supposed to be doing math right now, but whatever. Some things were funny.

I also read "Most Unintentionally Funniest Albums of '06", and it included Dragonforce, MCR and other guys (Jibbs too, but he deserved it!).

So, thumbs up 4 that! :thumb:

Despite their opinion on Conor Oberst he's still awesome.

I don't think Billy could sell out if he wanted to. Partly because he looks like Nosferatu. Everytime I see him I keep reaching for a clove of garlic.
Though I will say the "children's tea party look like a public beheading" thing was kind of funny.

I'm glad that P!ATD made the list but I'm suprised FoB didn't make it.
