also wait don't you have to be popular/good before you can justify a re-release?
|
| |
not when they know they fucked up the first time
|
| |
Lol ''we messed up so fucking bad, sorry guys. Here's a good version, buy our next stuff please''.
|
| |
what was wrong with their last one? inquiring mind wants to know without listening to Red
|
| |
Re-release the Panic
|
| |
not king crimson
|
| |
no strings lol
|
| |
Came expecting King Crimson
Left disapointed
|
| |
Thought it was about Taylor Swift.
|
| |
Haven't enjoyed hearing about a red release this much since my last pregnancy scare.
I'll see you all later
|
| |
har har
|
| |
Will be epic
|
| |
underrated album imo

Not in a billion years, none of their records can out due Speak Now.
|
| |
I will find you and beat you with Innocent playing in the background.
|
| |
That's sorta the point... Glad you noticed.
|
| |
Was really hoping this would be about my girl Tay : (
|
| |
"...released new information on their upcoming re-release
of Release the Panic."
So much release.
|
| |
So they came to their senses.
|
| |
Not really...
|
| |
If Rob and strings are back then it's a start.
|
| |
I don't care about the strings honestly, although they were fantastic in I&I
|
| |
So, this is the only tracklist I can find:
Run and Escape (new)
Release the Panic
Damage
As You Go
Glass House
Hold Me Now
So Far Away
In my opinion, the last four songs didn't even need to be "recalibrated". They needed to have recalibrated Perfect Life, Die for You, and Same Disease. Along with Release the Panic and Damage, those were the actual bad songs that needed work.
|
| |
The title track was awesome, what in the fuck are you talking about.
|
| |
Will this make it good?
|
| |
To other people, yes. Just because of the fucking strings.
|
| |
Red by King Crimson >>>>>>>> Red's entire discog > Red by Taylor Swift
|
| |
The actual color red >>>>>> everything.
|
| |
Fuck yessss, my body is ready for strings.
|
| |
The title track was awesome, what in the fuck are you talking about.
I feel like it tried way too hard to capture the magic they created with "Feed the Machine" and didn't quite work as well.
|
| |
I kinda dig some stuff by these guys, I'll probably check this out
|
| |
last album sucked, the redoing might work
|
| |
I feel like it tried way too hard to capture the magic they created with "Feed the Machine" and didn't quite work as well.
I can see why some people don't like it but I it find it to be probably one of the best songs on the album. Honestly, I think Release the Panic is fine as it is without strings. Also, I find RTP to be one of the most underrated albums I've ever listened to.
|
| |
Also, I call reviewing this.
|
| |
thought this had to do with Baroness
|
| |
I was originally planning on reviewing the original RTP but I think this would be better for me. The reason being that I'm probably the only one who actually likes this album and I could at least understand the differences unlike the rest of the people here.
|
| |
When I review this, I will DEFINITELY rant on the strings. Not the fact that they're not there, but the fact that people keep complaining about it as if that's the only thing in the world that matters. You have to admit, they HAD to do hat at some point.
|
| |
Here's the thing:
Bands use strings and orchestrations all the time. The only thing with Red is that they make it a part of their style and it worked so well with I&I. However, in UWHF it showed that the strings worked against them causing the overall sound to be rather bland. Sure that album was pretty good but still, they were buried beneath (no pun intended) the strings throughout most of the album.
It's not a problem to be different and RTP I thought ha shown signs of improvement as they decided to no longer rely on the strings and they did pretty damn well in doing so. Is RTP a masterpiece, hell no. I can name several albums better than that. It's just that people are constantly complaining like infants about it and it's starting to piss me off. At least back up your arguments well people. (I have heard some pretty valid arguments I won't deny that)
|
| |
If that's the case then why is he the producer for this one again?
|
| |
Then why are they both here? Both of them are pretty bad producers for the most part. Even if I&I was great.
|
| |
The strings were kinda weird in If We Only, but they were very nice in Glass House, I will admit that.
|
| |
Surprise! They actually were :P
|
| |
Yeah, the beginning part of If We Only sounds somewhat like Feed the Machine.
|
| |
Yeah, one of the best in UWHF
|
| |
Mine is Lie to Me
|
| |
They just teased the title track for this and honestly...it sucks
|
| |
It sounded nice at first but honestly it pretty much ruined it for me. Sorry to say this, but it's going to look negative from my perspective.
|
| |
The only song I'm looking forward to is that new one.
|
| |
not me, I'm expecting to rage on this when I review it
|
| |
blow me
|
| |
Then go to an orchestra or an opera if you must.
|
| |
Ever try watching the Red Violin then? Great movie I must say.
|
| |
It's about a red violin...no joke. Starring Samuel L. Jackson.
|
| |
It's basically about a red violin and the impact it makes on those who own it. It's basically like the legend of the Hope Diamond in a way, if you've heard of the story of that before.
|
| |
Yeah, it's a very good movie. Lovely music too.

Released the preview for Run and Escape, and it sounds pretty weird.

"Came expecting King Crimson

I'm with you, and I just started listening to the album
|
| |
@Snide I did the same thing a while ago when they teased the title track and it got deleted. They're going to preview all of the tracks once per day I believe.
|
| |
Why couldn't you have reported on something good like King Crimson?
|
| |
Because I like this band and I don't listen to King Crimson.
