I actually liked this. Most of their recent stuff kind of blows to be honest- wayyyy too poppy.

I miss their down to earth aesthetics that they had on Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head, so I'm liking this scaled back approach- even if it sounds a lot like Bon Iver.

Yes, this is exactly what I wanted from Coldplay, not MYLO XYLO-BLOW!

i loved that. the bon iver comparisons are definitely valid, but this track is still great. it's interesting to me how diverse chris martin has become vocally since arobtth. way too much falsetto on x&y, tons of low register singing on viva la vida, and a lot of this singing seems to be a progression from one particular line on "up in flames" from mylo xyloto (about 2:54 into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx7FN1LHphk). anyway, can't wait for their new album.
