Hopefully, this is better than Weightless. I'm conflicted with this teaser, though.

Tosin is infinitely better than Angel Vivaldi in both technical skill and writing ability.

This sounds awesome. I'd honestly love to see what these guys would do if they stopped wanking as much as they do and decided to put their heads together to just write a great album. Not to say their s/t wasn't great.

are they on the 9 string train ? jesus

I want to like this band more, but they are absolutely awful live

i dont think that should play into one's opinion of a band unless they literally cannot pull of their material live. AAL isnt bad live, just boring and nothing special really

Fair, but it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth knowing that these amazing musicians are lousy performers. I've only briefly listened to their albums but maybe I can revisit them now that it's been awhile since I saw their lame show.

Projectfreak obviously didn't see them with Matt Garstka on drums... also, it's unrealistic to expect someone to be moving around much while playing the parts as difficult as Tosin's.

if that's a 9 string that shit sounds nice as hell

ChuckyTruant

They have always had a bass guitar in recordings, just not live. No they don't play 9's, but Tosin has a Rick Toone 8 that has a special mechanism that allows it to drop to C# on the eight string.

Yeah the 9 string thing was just a joke. The man just got an Ibanez 8 string signature, I doubt he'd be moving up anytime soon.
