Never been sure on my opinion on these guys, liking this though
| |
This sounds nothing like A Lot Like Birds
WHAT IS THIS?
| |
Solid
| |
When were they ever supposed to sound like ALLB?
| |
Twas a joke about the album title
/endjoke
| |
Rooms of No Place? FUCK I FUCKING FUCKED UP THE FUCKING ALBUM TITLE YOU FUCK
| |
O.o
| |
i guess hes pissed of these dumb comparisons to the bird band
| |
i really sorta love this band
| |
Wow it's the same shit as their last...everything they've ever done.
| |
I still kinda like it.
| |
adum plz
| |
Same as the old boss
| |
Actually "Rooms of No Place" would be a badass split rec and/or tour
| |
Welp. Its definitely La Dispute. No disputing that.
| |
this is aight, there are parts that they could've easily improved with some more melodic guitar
playing
wtf room of the house that's already a thing wtf
| |
so good
| |
It's okay. I'm not hyperbolically impressed yet.
| |
I don't like the mixing but the vocals are classic La Dispute.
| |
It's aight.
| |
It's a jammer. I like it a lot
| |
Well, the album is a lot shorter than both predecessors. Their longer songs were always some of their best. Oh well. This track proves that they are still the best at what they do
| |
is last track on the album a firefly reference? if so, awesome
song is pretty great
| |
La dispute = super dope urban hip hop news/media legends
| |
This song is awesome.
| |
Yeah, it's okay I guess...
| |
Gay.
| |
new wave of house music
| |
Good song.
| |
Rules as expected. God I love this band.
| |
Song is brilliant.
| |
I can dig this, very melancholy.
| |
this is rly... average.
| |
Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal 3.5
lmao
| |
Hulk Hogan and The Wrestling Boot Band - Hulk Rules - 5
| |
Swear to god, this band can carry any song through passion alone. This is so ... desperate sounding, I'm loving it.
| |
Don't actually think their prior two releases were anything other than average but the song is pretty good
| |
Awesome.
| |
Okay... so their last two releases (do you mean albums? they have A LOT of releases) were "average"... but what are you comparing it to? What other over-dramatic, emo-influenced post hardcore with intense, over-the-top-theatric spoken poetry acts blow them out of the water? What standard are you kids going off of?
| |
He's allowed to not be impressed by their work, bro. Don't throw a hissy fit.
| |
3.5/5
| |
~a hissy fit~
| |
@witchxrapist
lol
| |
~hissssss~
| |
Sputnik music: logically question a poorly thought out criticism, an annoying, neckbeardy one at that, and immediately get lambasted by some retard for "throwing a hissy fit." Love it. :')

lol
| |
only "neckbeard" I'm seeing is the bombastic fucktard getting pedantic because someone doesn't like something he likes.
| |
how is it neckbeardy to not like la dispute
| |
DirEnRefused is in the boat that it's normal and likeable for people to shit on everything they don't like, but it's weird to tell people that it's annoying to act like that, aka he probably wears fedoras.

| |
So how about that song guys...
| |
neck
| |
That song is awesome and I am the anti-hater.
| |
think the song is dope but it seems like their instrumentals keep getting worse since somewhere at the
bottom*....
| |
not bad
| |
"DirEnRefused is in the boat that it's normal and likeable for people to shit on everything they don't like, but it's weird to tell people that it's annoying to act like that, aka he probably wears fedoras."
he didn't even shit on it. he said that he found their other two releases average and you got butthurt about it. all he did was disagree with you, and not even directly. he stated an opinion. that was all.
| |
Song rules. Reminds me of their split with Touche Amore.
| |

Hey retard: pointing out that something setting a standard exceeds the concept of being average isn't "acting butthurt" it's being logical.
| |
"This is the tallest building in the world"
"Its height is average at best"
| |
3.5
x2
| |
Song is solid. Stoked for the record!
| |
GUYS AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT'S NOT SEEING DIVIDERS BETWEEN POSTS ANYMORE? I'M FREAKING OUT GUYS.
| |
why did i not know this album was announced what is wrong with me
edit: song is awesome, choo choo hype train
| |
everybody make sure to read my soundoff
| |
day1 for u trebs?
| |
Took a few listens for this to really sink in. It doesn't have the immediacy of some of their other stuff, and I agree that the mixing in the beginning is weird. Jordan is almost always at the forefront but he's kind of buried for awhile there.
Lyrics are fucking great though. I feel like this is gonna make a lot more "sense" in the context of the record. It mostly feels like it's a part of some bigger thing.
| |
4/5 based on first listen. Sounds a lot like Wildlife. It's two weeks into January and I'm already pretty confident of one of my AOTY contenders
| |
I really dig this new song. I hope it reflects the new album, kind of a branch off from wildlife. My expectations are high for this album! Going to see them live March 25th in Phoenix c:
| |
really relieved upon hearing this, was worried that harder harmonies was the end of their run but this is really solid.
| |
squee
| |
Song is really growing on me - and sounds better than almost everything off Wildlife.
