What sounds good to me might not necessarily sound good to you. That's a given in music and life.

The point I was trying to get at was that if you know you consistently don't like metalcore, what would the point of going into a discussion about metalcore be?

Betray. If I may ask a question. What about those bands makes them your favorite? Is there anything that stands out in regards to their sound?

I'm not trying to antagonize, I just dislike a good portion of those bands because I feel as though they sound like a majority of other groups in that scene. I would like to know why those are your favorites.

But you cut yourself off from so much good music by sticking only to those bands. Instead of calling other music pretentious, why not listen to some of the bands that those people have liked? Maybe you'll find a sound you like far better.

And yeah I don't like metalcore but I can still express my opinion on it. I used to like bands like this so I still give their new stuff at least a fair listen before I say it sucks or whatever. If you can't handle people disliking metalcore than you aren't going to make it on this site for very long.

I find it hilarious how some people think that metalcore is the only genre with bands that sound similar. I mean, It's true, but almost every band in any genre sound the fucking same. That's why they're in that genre. For instance, Insomnium sounds like every other melo death metal band, or Defeater sound like almost every other melodic harcore band, but I still love both genre's. If you listen to that specific genre enough, you notice the little things that differ from the other bands.

On topic now, song was boring. Auron's vocals in this were awful to me. Other song was way catchier.
