Meh, this band's always just been there for me. Not good nor terrible, just there.

They show flashes of potential but cover it in shitty breakdowns and chugs and just... Whatever. If they want to be extremely average that's their deal.

Sounds like rise core. They should've just gone full tech metal and ditched the metalcore.

TAMS was so alpha. TAP was alright, but I hardly listened to it. It was a clear step back, in my opinion.... but this song... is worrying. I like the vocals a lot, I think Shawn showed massive improvement, and I don't even have a problem with the instrumentals aside from the fact that they really don't like like ITB anymore. The biggest problem, to me, are the horribly typical lyrics. I'm so over these anthem "We are the X!" songs. Oh, Sleeper and these guys seem to have a massive boner for writing songs with "We are...!" choruses. "We are the bruised and broken / We are the setting sun / We are the children of fire / We are the new breed" etc etc.

Massively disappointing, honestly. Band seems so confused about how to filter their own material. They have some awesome parts, and some really boring, shitty parts. Bruised and Broken, for example, had an epic chorus and guitar riff, but sucked other than that. This whole song kinda just sucks.
