Blackfoot New Album

2013-09-10 by warlordfun | 3 Comments
Southern rockers Blackfoot, after an absence of 18 years from the rock scene are now working on their new album -except that not one original member is now in the band. The new line-up features Phil Shouse (lead vocals/guitar), Tim Rossi (lead vocals/guitar), Brian Carpenter (bass/vocals) and Christopher Williams (drums/vocals). Rickey Medlocke, the band's founder, with complete control over the name, not only did he hand select the new musicians, but is heavily involved in the writing and recording of the upcoming album, due for release in the autumn.

Medlocke stated: "I have spent months putting together this amazing line-up, full of explosive high energy just as it was in the early 80s. I am proud these guys represent the future of Blackfoot music and will bring it to an all new generation."

The band's new song, 'Whiskey Train', can be heard here: http://blackfootband.com/

They are one of the better southern rock bands. And one of my favourite bands too. Many people though, have totally forgotten these guys..

But it's not Blackfoot. It's a different band entirely. Change the name. Maybe to Black Feet?
