This is terrible news. RIP.

Why were they going on tour with HIM though?

I can't even explain how sad this is. He was such a great guy. Was going to go see them on their first UK tour in ages as well, but looks like that's out the question. All the best to the band.

RIP Chris

the whole album is a little hit and miss but holy shit gone in bloom and bough is incredible. it's had me in tears more than a few times, it really means a lot to me, helped me through what has definitely been the worst year of my life so far.

i just hope his family and the band are okay

Man this is really sad news. I actually like some of their stuff, even if post-rock's grown stale for me.

Such a shame.

RIP.

a real shame. i do wonder if they're still doing their UK tour. if they do it will surely be emotional. i asked the band last week if they will be playing "Sycamore" at their Nottingham gig and they said "we will absolutely". that song already brings the feels so hard, i can only imagine how powerful and emotional it would be now.

also @JS19 which UK show would you be going to if they were still playing the tour? would be good to share our mutual adoration for "Sycamore" live!
