That's, IMO, what made Recovery his worst album by far. I've never witnessed anyone try so hard to appear a certain way when it's so obviously fake and forced.

when artists make sequels to their classic albums it never works. it draws unneeded comparisons to their glory days. and that is the last thing this shit song needs is to be compared to anything on the MMLP

There were some weak parts in MMLP 1 so maybe the songs they released are the weak ones. Trying to be optimistic, really want this to be as good as his earlier work.

The weak songs on MMLP(1) weren't even half as bad as this is, plus some of them were kinda cool

attempting to rap over "The Stroke" is his first mistake, that song is fine on its own.

Has VHS distortion, intentionally crappy CG and greenscreen, and he even bleached his hair to channel "late 90s" eminem

Song isn't too terrible, though, but naming an album after your classic is tempting fate.

At least he is aiming for his roots.
