They've still got it.
| |
never been super into these guys, but I'll give it a shot
EDIT: song was pretty cool, better than I expected
| |
Pretty damn good- I didn't listen to Meridional much and wasn't a fan of Anti-Mother, but I love everything else these guys have done.
| |
That was awesome. I love KCs guest spot
| |
This sounds better than Meridional and I loved Meridional
| |
Yeah, it's a good song. I think they're definitely taking a queue from The Chariot.
| |
Something about this song makes me feel like i've already heard it a million times. I just can't quite pinpoint what it sounds like though...
That doesn't mean it's bad, it's pretty solid. Glad to see they're coming back
| |
and that was an awesome two minutes....I'm really excited for this album now.
| |
Hell yeah this is the Norma Jean I've been hoping to hear more of
| |
Never really dug this sound or band, but that was pretty sweet.
| |
AWESOME!
| |
'Meridional' was solid, but this is definitely 'O' God'-era sick.
| |
I think that album sucks.
| |
holy shit the latter half of the song goddamn
| |
Song rules. I'm happy they released the one from the clip.
| |
Took a break from this band after Redeemer, but this song rips. Definitely gonna check this album out.
| |
Theoretically, if I had wanted to include the album title in this, and forgot how to code the italics, how would I have done it? I suck with formatting.
| |
lol
| |
They are back in the best way. This kills anything on Meridional and I liked that album a lot too.
| |
Fucking awesome.
| |
Norma Jean being Norma Fucking Jean
I dig
| |
yea this is actually pretty killer. Sounds like the Redeemer/O God era
| |
5 it
| |
Killer track. Still bums me out that Scottie Henry didn't come back for the album. And whatever happened to Jake Schultz?
| |
Great song! I hope they mix up the album with some of the melodic elements on Meridional.
| |
Song's great.
| |
I can't get over how sexy this track is. GodDAYUM
| |
What? This is just as disappointing as always.
| |
waited 3 plus years for this bland track... not worth it.
| |
This is it.
| |
stoked
one of those bands i never tire of
| |
Meridional was probably my favourite album by them.. Loved the Anti-Mother as well and liked Redeemer/O'God but in my opinion this doesn't sound like Norma has come to sound kind of a let down plenty of other bands go for this sound and where's corys beautiful voice
| |
pretty good
| |
I remember hating them in high school but since then my taste has broaden a good bit. This is pretty sweet.
| |
im surprised it doesnt have a stupid name like crapforestification
| |
"That was awesome. I love KCs guest spot"
KC Wolf? well sheeet, im on this so hard
Edit: Oh Shit yes, this is The Chariot but a bit more focused
| |
song's cool, album will surely rip
| |
hahah, I was not expecting this. Damn, I'm on board.
| |
sounds like chariot but not quite as good
| |
You guys realize the singer of the Chariot used to be in Norma Jean right? Of course there are going to be simliarities. Song kicks ass.
| |
Wow!! I had no idea!!!!!!
| |
holy shit that was tight
| |
I realize most people on this site probably knew that by the way. Just being sarcastic.
| |
Sounds like a good mix of the chariot and o god the aftermath era stuff. I'd take a botch influenced band over a lot of boring srscore around today.
| |
Meridional Had a couple bangers too and then rest sucked.. Although this is a pretty awesome return to form, I really do not want to be let down by this band again.
| |
Sounds pretty sweet, and yeah lots of dumbfuckery itt
| |
"You guys realize the singer of the Chariot used to be in Norma Jean right? Of course there are going to be simliarities."
he hasn't been in the band since bless the martyr kiss the child and no one on that album is still in the band so yeah."
Chris day is still in the band dumbass
| |
Short, brutal & to the point, pretty damn good. I doubt the whole album will be the same, there's a lot more to this band than that.
I loved the variations on Meridional, excellent album.
| |
"he hasn't been in the band since bless the martyr kiss the child and no one on that album is still in the band so yeah."
Yea the guitarist definitely still is in the band. Also, my point is that of course Josh Scogin had an influence on the band which is why there are similarities even after so many years. There is no point in saying one is trying to sound like the other. Just enjoy the fact that we get two good bands out of it.
| |
Sounds like a Norma Jean song. Not really that much like The Chariot. They each do their own thing, both within the realm of noisy dissonant metalcore that came out of the late 90's and early 2000's. Guitar feedback and crushing skulls is aplenty.
| |
This is the first time I listen to Norma Jean.
Thought that was pretty cool.
