Will listen again later but I didn't like this at all
| |
This is pry kl
| |
this is pretty sick. digging the lead work. pretty funny all their fans are getting cut over the use of the word "damn" in the song. heavy days for christians
| |
Decent.
| |
Everything on CoF was better than this. Will give a chance to grow. Solid lead work though.
| |
Digging it.
| |
*featuring Casey Sabol. That dude was Peripherys first vocalist, he's sick. Left Periphery to do solo stuff, but he just kinda vanished. Thought he was in space or some shit. Still hoping for that solo stuff to come out at some point, he's one of the best singers I know of.
| |
Sick song, lead work is fantastic.
| |
I'm going along with about everyone else so far. Sick guitar work, but the song is pretty meh overall.
| |
this is pretty cool, and I wasn't that enthralled with C.o.F personally
| |
I really enjoyed it
| |
i used to make beats for these guys when we were in bible camp. rly proud to see how far theyve come
| |
Bible camp? Sounds creepy
| |
Meh. Doesn't seem up to par with the bar they set with CoF
| |
The guest vocal work sounds great. I didn't know the first Periphery vocalist by name but it definitely had "Periphery" written all over it. Doesn't sound thrown in as well.
| |
Weak.
| |
I really don't like their little periphery break at 1:30
| |
Its annoying that the majority of heavy music is either extremely anti-God/religion or the exact opposite.
| |
Agreed
| |
sounds like a bside from the last album. very weak and forgettable
| |
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like this band would be leagues better without clean vocals. Not that they really ruin the song, but in my opinion the cleans could be grittier.
| |
Seems like zero progression from cof. Ok song but they have done better.
| |
Great song, but CoE was definitely leagues better.
| |
I thought this was actually pretty boring. Nothing I haven't heard from this band before.
| |
Same song, different album.
| |
Well considering it's an EP right after COF, I don't really expect huge progression. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere most of these are B-sides from COF anyways.
| |
I guess the lead work is okay. Never liked these guys before, this song doesn't change that
| |
sucks
| |
slays
| |
I don't think they're Bsides cause they did a whole indiegogo thing to fund this EP but who knows. They certainly gave off the impression on their studio updates that this was new material
| |
is this still in line with the other three albums? there's supposed to be a concept.
| |
good thing we have abr to pick up literally all the slack of christian metalcore
Demon Hunter dude.
| |
And while not metalcore, Extol just put out a new album. Or are about to.
| |
Pretty good track. I'm lookin forward to the rest of the EP.
| |
...casey sabol wasn't periphery's firstr vocalist.
| |
"is this still in line with the other three albums? there's supposed to be a concept."
It's a completely new concept. Micah posted all about the story and stuff somewhere. It shouldn't be too hard to track down, I'm just too lazy to find it right now haha
| |
Decent song
| |
"marry your skin to steel to see what i mean"
where have we heard that one before...
but seriously this song is pretty solid, on par with CoF.
| |
Sounded like a b-side. The guest vocals were the only interesting part.
| |
eh
| |
"...casey sabol wasn't periphery's firstr vocalist."
Yeah, I just remembered that too, Jake whateverhislatnamewas was in the band before him, but that dude was weird, didn't he end up in jail? :D
| |
Demon Hunter has some really cool songs actually.
Casey Sabol in the song is a definite plus. I wonder what rock they found him buried under, he needs to release something soon for sure.
| |
I would like to see this band go back to their style on When I Am God but that unfortunately will never happen. Fuck "progression"
| |
I agree that they need to get over the cleans. Oh, Sleeper is still one of my favorite bands to see live though, they always kill it.
| |
Sick song.
| |
Micah's scream just keeps getting better but hopefully this album won't sound the same like Children of Fire did.. Still love I am God
| |
Sounds EXACTLY like C.o.F. to me. Not that that's really a bad thing, but the EP's not gonna stand out at all if it's all like this.
| |
Btw, fuck When I Am God, Son of the Morning was lightyears ahead of it.
| |
na When I Am God was better for sure.
| |
"lightyears ahead of it"
come on dude.
| |
Yeah I get that it's more technical but I like WIAG more but really both are great
| |
i wish they weren't so fucking christian, i always feel super gay singing their lyrics.
| |

i am da prophet of metal
