AFI New Video

2013-06-13 by Apollo | 24 Comments
AFI has released a new video simply titled 'Silence'. The video is the latest in a series released by the band. A new album is presumably expected to be released in September 2013 and is the long anticipated follow-up to 2009's polarizing 'Crash Love'.

Check it, and the other videos out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4P_OXAwZdLQ#!

Yeah, I'm into these little shorts they've been releasing. AFI has always been adept at combining imagery with music. Even if you don't like certain albums of theirs, you can at least acknowledge a consistent line of imagery throughout each one.

They're trying too hard to be deep.

Yeah, they'd make good interludes/endings/beginnings of songs.

Was a good choice for the news article, the series are really cool and create a lot of hype.

Looking forward to this so much.

I am really looking forward to this album. These guys are not naive and would know not to hype if they didn't feel like they're bringing back the magic in some way. Havok said in some interview from last year if he could go back and change Crash Love it would have been very different. Super excited. Sing the Sorrow II. I'm calling it.

At the very least we know it might be heavier than their previous material due to the hint from that first video. Hopefully it is but ill be happy if its more consistent than crash love was.

I've never been more stoked for an album. These guys got me into music, and this seems to be the most promising new release since I discovered them!

And yeah, these short videos are incredible. The music behind them is just beautiful.

I'm exited for the album, but part of me is slightly worried about it being a pile of wank
