The new Make Me Famous 2013-04-05 by c0nf1n3d | 18 Comments | After dropping founding member of the band Denis Sharforostov, and getting dropped from Sumerian
Records; the once-metalcore group "Make Me Famous" has re-entered the music scene under a new name
entitled "Oceans Red."
"Oceans Red" is made up of all the members of Make Me Famous, minus Sharforostov. These include Serj
Kravchenko on vocals, Igor Yastrebov on guitar, Dusty Boles on drums and guitar, and Sergei Hohlov on bass.
Due to the fallout from Sumerian Records, Oceans Red has started an Indiegogo project focusing on
replenishing the financial loss they took from being in Make Me Famous, as well as recording a brand new
album. Prizes for contributing include a starring role in their music video, doing guest vocals, signed
guitar/posters, and more.
Their first single, "Blood" can be heard here:

Their second single, "The Secret Window" can be heard here (as well as downloaded per contributing to the
Indiegogo project):

Make Me Famous was awful.
That being said, Dusty is a decent drummer.
| | | so they're gonna incorporate dubstep now?
oh god
| | | Fuck off
| | | Dusty is a decent drummer, and I kinda really like the sound of Serj's vocals (the lyrics are atrocious).
| | | "Oceans Red"? Must have been on their periods
| | | who did? a single person?
| | | I remember watching that Dennis dude's vocal covers back in the day
Band is a joke

New band name, I call it
| | | band was awful before and still sounds pretty awful
| | | Well that was awful.
| | | horrible
| | | This core sound is going to go the way of hair metal and grunge.
| | | It'll drop off the face of the earth. And of course, you'll have the fans trying to revive their dead scene by saying things like "This music is the better than what's on the radio today!" or "the late 2000s and early teens were the best for music." Kind of like what people do now.
| | | This sucks so hard but I respect the band for not being afraid to drop denis since he was basically the face of MMF. Too bad they make terrible music apart from the vocals.
| | | It's bands like them that give metalcore a bad name.
I can see an elitist's response to my comment already;
"metalcore gives metalcore a bad name"
| | | if I was a millionaire, I honestly would pay select musicians up to $200,000 each to get together (including broken up bands) and put an LP out.
| | | The music wasn't all that bad. Wasn't good but it was something. Glad they dropped the asshole of the group. New production sounds fucking terrible though. I can't tell if that's snare drum or the top to a plastic container. That being said, band is still better than Capture The Crown .___.
