Awwwwww yeah. Last album wasn't as good as Brothers to me, here's to hoping they return to form on this album.
|
| |
I miss when The Black Keys made blues rock instead of commercials
|
| |
Awesome.
|
| |
oh no they're popular now must hate them
|
| |
Nice. But I'm still pissed that they're playing shows with the Flaming Lips and not coming to Colorado.
|
| |
oh no they make awful fucking music now must hate them
fixed
|
| |
While the band's earlier material is gold, I haven't been a fan of their most recent albums, but I am still curious to hear this one.
|
| |
Dan Auerback if you're reading this go back to the Rubber Factory days.
|
| |
never been able to get into any of this band's material.
|
| |
annoying band yeah
|
| |
These guys will definitely have something very interesting and fundamentally exciting to bring to the table so what exciting news this is
|
| |
Damn these guys don't stop
|
| |
I've never gotten into the band, what's their best album for a newcomer?
|
| |
hope it sounds more like thickfreakness
their new material just isnt that great =/
|
| |
8th album? So if I love El Camino going back and listening to their old stuff may not suit my tastes?
|
| |
Eons start with Thickfreakness
|
| |
The biggest difference between their new stuff and old is that they added a lot more instrumentation and glossier production. Musically they've pretty much always played the same style.
|
| |
should be pretty good but honestly I'm getting kind of bored of this band
|
| |
Ugh there's something about thus band that makes me not like them
|
| |
listen to "The Big Come Up"
|
| |
Last time I heard them they were just ripping off Zeppelin and the White Stripes. Will this change? Probably not.
|
| |
I've only listened to El Camino, but I thought it was enjoyable, so this should be a good listen
|
| |
The guitarist has a knack for fun riffs, but the drummer is just such a miserable git!
|
| |
for fuck's sake
band stays in 2004 = they just release the same albums over and over man what fucking losers
band tries different things = fucking sellouts man
you can't fucking win with you fucking people
|
| |
"should be pretty good but honestly I'm getting kind of bored of this band
"
agreed they need to slow down a bit
theyre pretty consistent though so im expecting at least a few fun singles
|
| |
they were just ripping off Zeppelin and the White Stripes
Uhhhwhat
|
| |
"for fuck's sake
band stays in 2004 = they just release the same albums over and over man what fucking losers
band tries different things = fucking sellouts man
you can't fucking win with you fucking people"
^ Pretty much. They're overplayed as fuck now but they're still a good band.
|
| |
They actually aren't happy that they released their music on commercials, the one sell out move they regret. Their music has only gotten larger still
|
| |
I like these guys. I didn't start listening until Brothers though. I should probably check out some of their earlier stuff.
|
| |
check out Rubber Factory, it's arguably their best
|
| |
Yeah, that seems to be the general view from what I've seen/heard on Sputnik. Also, a lot of "band sucks now."
I'll give Rubber Factory a try then, Demi.
|
| |
I think Henchman said it best when he said that they sound pretty much the same now as they did 10
years ago, but with glossier production.
If you cant handle that then gtfo.
Side note: going to see them live in May.
|
| |
" for fuck's sake

band tries different things = fucking sellouts man
you can't fucking win with you fucking people"
Would be a plausible argument if their new music was any good. But it's not. Thus "selling out" is a non-sequitur--you're the first user who's used those words anyway.
|
| |
Dank
|
| |
Band is consistent. This should have some good songs and some filler just like all of their albums. It will be a fun listen no doubt
|
| |
atavan - who said sell out? I just said I'm starting to get bored of their music, all their albums.
|
| |
Aw yeah, should be good.
|
| |
oh the black keys.. one of the only mainstream bands nowadays that still puts on a good live show.
|
| |
El Camino and Brothers were great, the new record should be strong.
|
| |
Yeah i dont know if this band has ever put out a bad record, nothing that blew me away but all of their albums are in the 3.5-4 range for me. expecting more of the same.
|
| |
I've kinda really enjoyed everything from "Attack & Release" and on... /ducks
Though I will admit I haven't really listened to all that much of their music beforehand
|
| |
So mad they didn't play any Rubber Factory live. Brothers I loved, El Camino was alright. But their earlier work is undeniably better.
|
| |
Blakroc is the best thing they've done in the past four years
|
| |
