Spoiler: it sounds like Periphery + pop rock. Sucks.
| |
band please just die
| |
Really fucking gay

^Caleb's new band's song, if anyone wants to compare the two.
| |
I really like this dudes voice but dammit......
| |
That was pretty bad.
| |
:D:D:D:D:D:D
| |
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:DD:D:D:D:DD:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| |
their worst song so far holy shit it's like maroon 5 went djent.
| |
the singing is pretty fucking great come on guys.
| |
it looks pretty short in that picture.
| |
Holy shit, that was terrible. That Beartooth song was pretty decent though. If he used a low scream more frequently, it'd be awesome.
| |
Points to them for trying, I guess? It's kind of a forgettable song.
| |
Fuck this band. Wish they didn't get so much attention on sputnik
| |
Song was great, good choice with new vocalist
| |
I like the new vocalist, but the song got pretty annoying during the stutter-y vocal bits. It wasn't awful, though. Pretty fun listen, I suppose.
| |
The new Beartooth song sounds pretty good, but those vocals are still awfully whiny.
| |
Do they even scream anymore? That beartooth song was okay i guess. the attack attack shit was just .. shit.
| |
so does the band still suck?
| |
I think he's learning to scream just for AA!, but I never bothered to actually go to his twitter and see if it's true or not.
| |
Wow, Attack Attack made a bold choice at getting a GOOD singer. Still sucks.
| |
that Beartooth song ruled
| |
wow the singing is really good
| |
singing was A+
| |
Holy fuck they managed to get even worse
| |
Guitar like that and awful clean singing like that just don't mix my word
| |
didnt think it could get worse than stick stickly damn
| |
Whoa, that Beartooth song was really good. The new AA! song was alright.
| |
neither is an option.
| |
I fully agree with zaruyache, when saying this sounds like a poppier version of Periphery.
The song starts with a simple, power-chorded polyrythm, then they go muddy guitar all the way.
| |
Wow, this is actually not horrible. At least it's kinda catchy.
| |
beartooth song kinda sounds like the chariot in parts.
No. Even if it's remotely true, this band doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.
Beartooth 2/5. Caleb's screams are comical.
AA! 1/5. Lost some cool points, Phil.
| |
The dude is a beast on vocals, but the song just doesn't work. It's the overall writing, and it's that odd hook/riff (with the skipping vocals) that makes it sound incredibly awkward.
Otherwise, it needs more harmony, and more dynamics. It needs more interesting guitar parts+bass parts as well.
Say whatever you want about "Someday Came Suddenly", at least that album had melodic guitar parts, melodic synth parts, and didn't sound as awkward as this.
As for Beartooth, that song was awesome! Definitely stoked to see what comes next from that. But, I guess I'll just kinda stick with Of Mice & Men, March Ahead, and Beartooth.
Now, imagine if Attack Attack!, Of Mice & Men, The March Ahead, and Beartooth all toured together: "The Crabcore Tour."
| |
Why even listen to this, like I don't fucking get it, there's so much good music out there
| |
sounds like a nickelback song with a couple of shitty breakdowns
| |
I Am Abomination are miles better and they aren't even very good.
| |
Of mice and Men are far better than attack attack. They are generic, not crap. I take minor offense.
| |
Wtf is this shit...
| |
This is like a gayer Buck Cherry...
| |
I guess props to them for trying something different but it's not very good.
The Beartooth song is pretty alright, early days for the band, they could probably improve shitloads like The Chariot did
| |
Vocalist sounds like the dude in letlive.
| |
That was bad. The Beartooth song wasn't much better.
| |
their worst song so far holy shit it's like maroon 5 went djent. [2]
| |
At least stick stickly had good screams from that austin carlisle guy.
| |
I think the fact that most of AA!'s former vocalists have been in other projects that are miles better than them (before, during or after their time in the band) says a lot for how much input the vocalists actually have when it comes to songwriting.
| |
This and the new OM&M song right after waking up... Fuck sake, gimme some coffee.
| |
Ain't comparing. My ears are just shattered right now.
| |
They are trying so hard not to suck
| |
and failing miserably
| |
Why is this band even present on the face of this earth?
| |
I once worked at a pizza shop with the lead singer of Driver Side Impact where we would just crab-bang to everything that played on the stereo. That is all this band has ever done for me.
| |
Absolutly amazing. Fuck you who hate
| |
^
Ugh why are you even here. This isn't YouTube go away.
| |
I find it upsetting that because of their label "Attack! Attack!" they automatically get hate. I'm not a huge fan of them myself but this song is fun to listen to. People have gotta lighten up. So yeah, I actually have to agree that they have gotta change their name or else hate like this is just gonna come too naturally.
| |
Gah, the singing is really something special but damn this could be a song on the radio.
But I'm liking the Beartooth track more overall.
| |
Being an Ohioan, I should be all over these guys, but I'm just not. It just seems so sophomoric and easy to accomplish. There's no glory in the easiest to travel road.
| |

"Being an Ohioan, I should be all over these guys, but I'm just not. It just seems so sophomoric and easy to accomplish. There's no glory in the easiest to travel road."
Why? There are way, way better bands from Ohio.
| |
"Why? There are way, way better bands from Ohio."
I try to dig what people in my area are doing. I totally agree with you that there are better bands from Ohio. That's exactly what I was saying really.
| |
I love how everyone just says they hate it because everyone else on here is saying it. It's not bad.
| |
yeah i didn't like the attack attack song, but calebs new band sounded pretty solid
| |
I'm not just saying it's bad; I truly believe it is bad. I do, however, understand that music is subjective.
| |
"I love how everyone just says they hate it because everyone else on here is saying it. It's not bad."
Yeah it's impossible for someone to simply just not like a song am I right. If it wasn't for the haters every person on the planet would be jamming attack attack
| |
These guys are performing at "europe's biggest punk, hardcore & ska festival" along with emmure and obey the brave. What has this world come to
| |
pixies - doolittle
| |
Lordy, Lordy, I done seeeeeeen the light!
| |
DustyBows.
It's bad.
It just is.
| |
Basic as fuck derivative power chord polyrhythems set to try hard singing wow music genius
It's almost like they're ripping off Periphery wow so genius
| |
what in the fuck was that...? O_O
the beartooth song was acceptable, but not something i'll ever listen to again.
| |
Wasn't bad but fuck, every album sounds like a different band. I'll keep an eye out for this.
| |
I never understood how you can leave a band because you're depressed and continue on with a different project without leaving it for the same reasons. Especially in cases like this where it has nothing to do with the people.
| |
"I love how everyone just says they hate it because everyone else on here is saying it. It's not bad."
Yeah I can tell you've been on this site for all of 5 minutes.
| |
Anthony Green left Saosin because he was homesick and wanted for control over the music so he went home and formed his own band
Makes sense to me
| |
oh anthony green xoxo
| |
beartooth track is gold. this is unremarkable.
| |
Beartooth track wasn't too bad. They actually have potential. AA on the other hand..... none.
| |
Won't even waste my time.
| |
Seems pretty clear the guitarist and/or the drummer are the ones holding everyone else judging by AA!'s record and the other bands of the former members.
| |
Honestly, 3/5 for THIS song only.
| |
Beartooth song was decent. AA!'s song is mediocre at best.
| |
Beartooth good. Attack Attack! Bad.
| |
This fucking blows. I can see this being on my local radio station next week.
| |
Holy shit. The Beartooth song is fucking killer.
| |
beartooth sucks . these vocals are better than anything else theyve had though
| |
i liked scs my freshman / start of my sophmore year :X
| |
yah i saw them live with some random in like early 2009 with i see stars and asking
| |
My God. An Attack Attack song with a good vocalist and no breakdowns.
| |
Never was a fan of attack attack but you know what after listen to this cleverly titled tune I think I can proudly say… I'm still not a fan
| |
This isn't that horrible. It's just kind of boring.
| |
The song is just okay. The singing is great though.
| |
They still suck, and that singer is wasting any talent he has by joining them. Has their guitarist EVER written anything that isn't completely boring?
| |
This isnt terrible but its not great either.
| |
