well of course
|
| |
this is a very bizarre move
|
| |
Official statement from Blink-182:
"lol why would we give a fuck we're fucking millionaires yall can suck my chode all the way to the bank"
|
| |
what a bunch of...idiots.
|
| |
Def will check out
|
| |
very interesting..
|
| |
will check out
|
| |
Listening right now...better than the blink version
|
| |
Wow their version of Up All Night 1 is awesome
|
| |
Most of them seem like tinkering for the sake of tinkering...Up All Night was pretty awesome, but so
far the rest are either too similar to make much of a difference, or they just changed things for the
sake of changing em and it ended up making the song not as good. Ghost on the Dance Floor lacks
keyboards now, Natives is slightly slower, Heart's All Gone lost all the technical drum playing and
opted for plain fast punk playing. It's not bad but I much prefer Neighborhoods (because I actually
really liked that album)
|
| |
The drums in Hearts All Gone rule so hard, these guys can't even play it!
|
| |
why would they cover their shittiest album
|
| |
Had a feeling andcas was responsible for this one
|
| |
huh. I am curious.
|
| |
Man, I just wish the Flaming Lips would release an album doing their take on Dark Side of the Moon.
|
| |
Mabbitt would be dicking around in this thread wow fuck off.
|
| |
Whoa, this is pretty sweet.
|
| |
the statement they gave is still douchey as all get out. [2]
sounds more pop punk but still far removed from blink's older material musically anyways (which is what i was more concerned about), so to me at least it just sounds like a bunch of vanilla pop punk covers of someone else's album which i don't find terribly impressive.
|
| |
not really a fan, but i can't say the covers are bad. more differences without taking out important elements in the original versions would make them so much better, though.
|
| |
yup, sounds the same but with worse drumming
|
| |
"the songs are alright but the fact they're charging money for it is
fucking lame."
this.
|
| |
Well, the singer is much better than Tom...
|
| |
they practically stole their entire album, made it worse and then wanna charge full price for it, and that's even besides how they're only trying to one-up them and mooch off their success while they're at it. they claim it's just a homage but i gotta call total bs on that lol
|
| |
When I caught them live, Tom seemed like a turd in every sense of the word.
|
| |
they're charging money for it? is that even legal
|
| |
From youtube;
It would help if you could actually sing. Too much autotune.
-MayonakaMaiku
hahaha yeah.. rather listen to the original with Tom Delonges un-autotuned vocals. Seriously, are you fucking retarded?
-Futureidiots
What a bunch of douchebags
|
| |
And 'Up All Night 1' sound remarkably similar to this cover a while back:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn4kmfjYR1I
|
| |
I see this is going down well...
snide, I'm pretty sure I already added it to the database (although I can't see it now), only I labeled it as a "compliation" because it technically wasn't their own album
|
| |
auto 5'd
|
| |
I love how it says the will "take on blink 182" as if any 12 year old couldn't handle such a task. What a huge undertaking blink 182 songs are.
|
| |
Unnecessary, inferior to the original and about as arrogant as it gets, especially since they're charging for it.
|
| |
checked how they covered "love is dangerous" and i like it much better. nonetheless, that opening statement about why they did this was bullshit.
|
| |
Don't care, didn't like Neighborhoods.
|
| |
proof this album could have been a lot better if Tom hadn't brought AVA-esque studio fuckery to its production.
|
| |
They're trolls.
|
| |
Funny idea. Album sucks anyway.
|
| |
I hate entire albums that are just covers
|
| |
"I think I'm the only one by now who still likes tom."
nope i still do. neighborhoods surprised me by how good it was.
|
| |
"the songs are alright but the fact they're charging money for it is fucking lame." [2]
|
| |
it's like a 3
I def enjoy much more than the original although some of the covers are too similar to the original (i.e. after midnight).
|
| |
god this sucks and they all look like complete faggots
|
| |
these guys suck
|
| |
$10? these guys can fuck off
|
| |
before i check this out (which i'm a little reluctant to, didn't like neighborhoods and this seems like douchebaggery)
do these guys even have original material?
|
| |
I'm confused. If they're gonna do a blink album why not do one of their classics like dude ranch or enema of the state?
|
| |
Because they wouldn't be able to make it more pop punky!@!@
THOSE ALBUMS ARE TOO POP PUNK EVEN FOR THE FUTURE IDIOTS
|
| |
"do these guys even have original material?"
LOOK TO THE SIDE OF THE NEWS POST, MAYBE YOU CAN FIND IT THERE
"Future Idiots seem like douches but their version of Neighborhoods is far better than Blink's."
:D
|
| |
is it legal to charge for this?
|
| |
good thing they threw 'morningwoods' into the title. gotta pay homage to blink potty-talk too.
|
| |
i like it
|
| |
I bet you do like it kid.
|
| |
lol did anyone check out their "goes heavy metal" ep?
|
| |
I haven't even heard...
|
| |
wow do they feel like the whole world is against them and that they have to prove something for
themselves
I think that heavy metal album is also a cover album too...
|
| |
Mabbitt would be dicking around in this thread wow fuck off.
I don't know what your problem is, but seriously cut the crap and grow up.
|
| |
Ballsy. I bought it just because of that.
|
| |
only song here that is significantly worse than Blinks version is Kaleidoscope. rest is great!
|
| |
Band covered Simple Plan as well? Fuck this shit.
|
| |
this isn't bad guys, it's better than the original, but the band really is full of idiots
|
| |
"well, there's one way to get cheap publicity"
the only person in the thread who gets it
|
| |
http://www.youtube.com/user/Futureidiots
These guys do their take on EVERY pop punk band. Holy shizz. No ounce of originality at all.
|
| |
well fuck this.
everything about this is just bad.
|
| |
cant take them seriously after seeing that band pic. seems to me they like famous, and looking like complete cocks.
|
| |
Also these douchers telling blink "how the album should have sounded" makes them sound extremely arrogant. man these guys really suck.
|
| |
Well, that was shit.
|
| |
my question is why cover THIS album its their worst like cmon
|
| |
@climactic, it's because it was 'this' album that they thought 'didn't sound like tr00 blink'
|
| |
These guys are pricks, Neighborhoods was a great album. People would bitch if Blink stayed the same and people bitch that they've changed. You can't please cynics.
|
| |
Covering Blink was a huge mistake, especially since they can't even do it right.
|
| |
Wishing Well is pretty good. Heart's All Gone is the only other song that isn't completely horrible, and they even fucked
IT up by pronouncing start like fart.
|
| |
It is an odd thing to do isn't it? I'm not a fan of Blink but I can't deny the arrogance of such a thing.
|
| |
You can't be any more PUNK than to do something like this! I'm sure everyone at one time or another has heard a song by their favorite artist & thought it could have been done differently or better depending on interpretation. I've been listening to the tracks & I think they sound awesome! Some of the best songs of all times have been remakes!
|
| |
agreed, doesn't get much more punk than stealing another band's entire album and charging 10 bucks for it lol
|
| |
funk as puck!
|
| |
Guys, the best songs ever made were remakes. Duh.
|
| |
Faggot move, Neighbourhoods rules as it is
|
| |
You guys are weird. This is better than the original by several multiples. Also most people ITT didn't understand what the band set out to do: they wanted to convert the new Blink album into sounding like the classic Blink records without the Tom DeLonge A&A douchebaggery.
All songs except for maybe 1 are better than the originals.
|
| |
yeah but their arrogance cannot be ignored
|
| |
We can't always have what we want
|
| |
What can we say? Blink is made up of cool dudes.
|
| |
That album was mediocre, so cover will be an abomination
|
| |
