I was there so I'm gonna be obtaining this. They didn't start their set at my show until midnight so they played an abbreviated set which was a bummer

I was at the DC show. Probably one of the best shows I've ever been to, regardless of whether I sweat Thrice or not. O'Brother and Animals as Leaders killed it as well. It was pretty wild. They tweeted that felt like an Old School Chain Reaction show. This album should rule.

hey fade dont forget
• Converge Tour Announced
|
| |
I was there, will be obtaining (2)
I was also in the very front crowd so hopefully they are releasing a dvd version of this too. Dustin said we were one of the cities being recorded so I already knew about this, glad it's coming out soon.
|
| |
ugh fuck converge
|
| |
This shoulda been a DVD though and not a CD
|
| |
it would be a quadogy DUH
|
| |
"This shoulda been a DVD though and not a CD"
Agreed but I guess they felt like they had already done that. Or wanted to save money since they probably won't have much of an income for the next little while.
|
| |
Nah dude Dustin works at a church he's filthy rich
|
| |
"Nah dude Dustin works at a church he's filthy rich"
Haha see I don't understand that, because most of my local churches pay their 3 workers less than 6 figures, don't pay their song leaders(what dustin is), and barely break even when it comes to all the benevolence stuff they do. I know some churches are money hounds, but I've yet to experience it in my Nashville bubble.
|
| |
I was completely kidding. But mega-church pastors make loads of money. But let's not turn my joke into a religious thread. I wanna hear this CD
|
| |
weird cos jesus hated the rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
| |
Oh I thought you were totally serious cause I hear about mega churches like Mars Hill making tons of money, but I can't relate to that at all, no exposure to it.
But yeah, I'm excited for this. Still have yet to see them live. They haven't come to Nashville in around 4 years.
|
| |
that's because nashville is where good music goes to die
|
| |
^lol
|
| |
You'd be surprised, the average person here hates the music that is produced in Nashville. At least the pop country bullshit.
|
| |
If this has a dvd, Christmas is early this year
|
| |
lots of pretty girls in sundresses, though
|
| |
Dammit, it's only audio. Will still rule
|
| |
"lots of pretty girls in sundresses, though"
That's one of the few things the south does right.
|
| |
It takes much more time to get a dvd done. If there'll be one it won't be before christmas. Live CDs aren't selling that good as it is, so they obviously don't want to wait until any momentum about their hiatus is gone.
|
| |
"lots of pretty girls in sundresses, though"
Amen to that.
Megachurch employees make a ton of money, normal-sized church staff not so much. I expect Dustin makes a decent living off of it, he's more than earned it at this point.
|
| |
no chance of DVD from that tour, they weren't recording any video when they came here.

Hah yes, because that's how bands do live dvd's...film every show.
|
| |
One of the few bands capable of putting out a live record that's actually listenable, definitely going to get a copy of this guy.
ares, to the right, what the fuck is even over there?
|
| |
"New Flying Lotus track
New Muse Single
Thrice to release live album
worst news trilogy ever"
only cause Muse had to show up and fuck everything up.
Really excited for this release. And you got to love them Southern girls in sundresses.
|
| |
should be a DVD, don't really get much from live CDs...
oh welllll
|
| |
I do sound at a venue they played on the farewell tour, they were only recording audio. Keep in mind that recording a pro multi-cam DVD shoot is really expensive ($$$$ or more) to do for even a few shows (much less a whole tour) so most bands either do audio-only or have special 'dvd-filming' shows. Basically, we'd already know about it if they were doing a concert DVD.
|
| |
Of course I'm going to get this.
|
| |
Wish it was a CD/DVD too, their Live at the House of Blues rules so hard. That extended version of Deadbolt
|
| |
Awesome news. Since i wasn't able to go and see them on the Farewell tour I will fursure be picking this up.
|
| |
Not quite yet Lakes
|

"New Flying Lotus track

worst news trilogy ever"
i'm trying to give you cool points but my computer, apparently, didn't come with that configuration
|
| |
hey foxxxy, rules for praise and worship type music right?
|
| |
Thrice is the greatest band in the universe and this will surely not disappoint.
Dustin's new band on the other hand, disappoints quite a bit.
|
| |
Pretty cool news.
|
| |
just want to say again how stoked I am :-)
|
| |
Multiple dates, eww
|
| |
Bullshit Beggars was their masterpiece.
|
| |
not even close.
|
| |
so shit
|
| |
they better put "beggars" from anaheim on this, shit was fucking amazing
|
| |
That HOB show was pretty spectacular.
|
| |
I was at the Portland show. Dustin did an acoustic show right after in a parking lot.
|
| |
Cool. Their last live album ruled
