This ought to get plenty of hate here. Surprised to learn they were still making music.

Initially it reminds me (from the way it opens) like some of their older work, but the vocals are
definitely newer Used through and through. They really sound off sometimes, like Bert's trying
to not be the frontman for The Used anymore.
I'm all for growth, but this smacks of trying to reinvent their sound, and I for one never considered
it broken.

| |
i love the used
doesn't sound like Artwork at all, way more Lies for the Liars
conservative rating: 5/5
|
| |
this would be my fucking joint in middle school
|
| |
Imma In Love and Death guy, Lies for the Liars feels shallow by comparison to me.
|
| |
not surprisingly it sucks
|
| |
Def. better than Artwork, which I thought was terrible.
I think their self-titled album is pretty damn amazing, but other than that they haven't really done
anything good.
|
| |
id say it goes:
1. in love and death
2. self-titled
3. artwork
4. lies for the liars
loopy doopoe
|
| |
I can agree with that ranking, ignorant of their self titled however so I'm biased.

They were one of my favorite bands in high school and it's great to hear they've still got it. I've enjoyed everything The Used have put out, Artwork was a high mark I think.
|
| |
Hmm I'm a bit torn. I really like the shift between the verse and chorus. But it does sound a bit too Lies for the Liars-y for me. Kind of disappointing they're not heading more in the Artwork direction. Not a bad single though.
|
| |
im all out of faith; this is how i feel:
even though lies was their weakest, i still like that weird electro-whinyshit sound from like hospital, so im digging this
|
| |
sounds awesome. so much better than artwork
|
| |
is that...god forbid... dubstep?
song is enjoyable, good stuff for the used
|
| |
Definitely better than artwork, the drumming kills the chorus for me
|
| |
Loved self titled and thought In Love and Death was pretty good but really couldn't stomach these guys after that. Saying that I'll prob chack this out when I'm home from work
|
| |
1. in love and death
2. self-titled
3. artwork
4. lies for the liars
^^ This is absolutely correct.
|
| |
I had no idea Lies for the Liars was disliked so much. I thought it had some great tracks, I'll always love "The Ripper", "Hospital", "Pretty Handsome Awkward", "The Bird and The Worm", "Paralyzed", "Wake The Dead" and "Liar Liar" .............. So, pretty much most of it.
|
| |
no hate here, love The Used
|
| |
academy got the ranking right
|
| |
Lies for the liars is my favorite, so will I like this?
Yes, I'm too lazy to listen.
|
| |
lol do any of these albums have below a 4.2 avg?
lol was thinking the exact same thing.
inb4 OMG THERE'S DUBSTEP IN THE SONG
|
| |
In Love and Death is definitely not better than their self-titled. I think their self-titled was the only album of theirs I gave more than a 3. It's pretty much leaps and bounds better than anything the band has done since.
|
| |
"inb4 OMG THERE'S DUBSTEP IN THE SONG"
Too late.
00mee: "is that...god forbid... dubstep?"
|
| |
My foot on your throat, I--
finally have you. Right where I want you.
|
| |
Nuts, I didn't even see that comment!
|
| |
This wasn't terrible, never was a huge the used fan though. They had some good songs I used to jam in middle school/high school but their image kind of ruined it for me... In fact, I used to make fun of a mate because he used to listen to them.
Theyre not as embarrassing as we made it seem back then.
|
| |
Song is pretty good. The Used is usually a pretty solid band.
Also, nice dig Hospital.
|
| |
Phideaux, your name wouldn't happen to be a reference to the prog band, would it?
|
| |
Thanks bro, you too! Both are insanely good EPs dude. I actually spoke to a member of the band on FB and they said that their new shit is going to be "Some of our prettiest... some of our heaviest..."
I'm personally stoked.
|
| |
Their eponymous is their only exceptional album.
|
| |
Anyone that says the self titled isn't their best is a dirty liar.
|
| |
I was actually rather surprised at how decent this is.
|
| |
Pretty weak.
First album was gold
|
| |
i was never into The Used, but i really enjoyed that
|
| |
saweeeet
|
| |
Better than I expected.
|
| |
so this is what MCR could of been...
|
| |
did i hear some wub wub in that?!
