Easily the best thing they've recorded - and it probably should be left alone, especially considering Barlow's voice was a huge part of it.

Other than the greatness of Barlow, I like this more than the original. Stu does a fantastic job, gives me hope for the new album!

....Well, wow, I had pretty much given up on this band, and now I have completely changed my mind. I wasn't impressed with their last album WITH Barlow, so I just wasn't interested in what another new singer could do, since Ripper, I did not like, and Barlow even failed me, I was just convinced Schaffer was out of good ideas.... But I admire the job Stu did here. I will come back for the next album, just for Stu.

doesn't help). But yea, Stu surprisingly sounded pretty damn good.

Can't say I loved this new version, but it wasn't bad either.

Apparently this new singer seems to fit IE sound quite well.

Stu is a great vocalist. Will listen to this.

Really well done, but I'm kind of disappointed with how much Stu is emulating Barlow. I know everyone always whines on and on about Barlow being the authentic voice of Iced Earth, but Stormrider and Framing Armageddon were two of my favorites (I loved Owens in IE... Still think it was a mistake to take Barlow back for... what, a shitty album and a year or two of touring?) and I really wanted to see Stu do something revolutionary (for the band) with its sound.

Probably helps that I like Into Eternity and always thought his voice made that band and I don't want to see him just turn into a Tim Owens fill-in man. Dude has way more potential than that.

Doesn't start too badly, but once the heavy part kicks in the vocals are way overdone, Barlow's were pretty exeggerated but this guy's trying too hard. Sound on the original is so much better too.

Have you heard Into Eternity? That whole band is way overdone, so it doesn't surprise me... just started right now, so it's still the mellow part.

Oh, there's a heavier part. This guy does the growls better, so far.

No I haven't, I figured this could well be what he usually does, but the vocals don't do it for me.

His vocals are actually a lot higher usually. Kind of like Rob Halford with less power, but he can do death vocals too (assuming that's all one vocalist... I'm not entirely sure, not really an Into Eternity fan). The end part with the growls and stuff was okay, but he seemed to over do the rest. Maybe he'll sound more natural on the new songs.
